Extremely disappointed with the fish burger. The fish was half the size of the bun, I was basically eating salad and bread. The fish itself was smaller than a 250ml V can!nnFor a town so close to the water, it’s shocking that they can’t provide decent fish. They used to be so good a couple of years back, but not anymore. Definitely not worth the price.nnI won’t be ordering from this place again.
Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Fresh fish, that you watch being battered and fried. Very generous portions, one meal is enough to feed two, and at a reasonable price to! I’ll be back every day I’m in the area to either try their burgers or chicken sandwiches, or partake in the F&C again!
It's a Takeaway so the atmosphere is take away. Super fresh fish beautifully cooked without heaps of batter. Good sized fish fillets. Batter is fresh, and they don't use food colouring to make it appear better. Chips/fries cooked to order so have not been sitting around getting greasy and cold. Definitely recommend.
Called and ordered our food at approximately 18:00 and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes.nWe arrived at 18:30 to be told they forgot our order. We were told another hour wait. We went back at 19:30 and were told they did not have our order on their system.nWe waited another 20 minutes and finally received our food.nWhen we opened it at home they forgot multiple items.nVery unimpressed and unhappy with our experience, about $10-$15 worth of food missing from our order that we waited nearly 2 hours for.
It's been a while since I've had some really good f&c, and this was great. Maybe it's the small town setting vs the big city, but the fish was fresh and the chips were a generous portion. Also, the wrapping up of the food was well done - kept it tight and tidy. Some places can be a bit shoddy.nThere was a steady stream of customers, which kept the staff busy - but that's a good sign.
