Great place to stop off at after a hike around cathedral cove. The vegan pizza was awesome - never had a coconut base before! And the double fried chips were spot on. There is also a good selection of craft beers and a nice outside seating area.

Awesome fish n chips. Crazy awesome Hawaiian pizza. Great grounds and atmosphere. Felt comfortable having an infant along. Outside has all sorts of seating. Friendly service. The amber ale was very good and their cider is super! Extremely satisfied and pleased to stop in after hiking from Cathedral Cove.

They should focus on brewing beer, not cooking. Meat lover pizza was indeed meat hater pizza. Never had such meat stingy pizza before. King prawn rissoto was not made fresh and the prawns were actually several generations below king. Strange flavours and i didn't get why it was garnished with a piece of shaved carrot and radish.

I ordered the summer salad here on Waitangi Day, expecting a quality meal. The lettuce in the salad was wet and limp, and none of the vegetables tasted fresh. The chicken had a strange taste to it, but I went with it, because I'm a backpacker on a budget so you learn to take what you get. Within a few hours, my stomach was uneasy and I had a sinking feeling that I shouldn't have eaten the devilish salad. By the next morning I'd developed a textbook case of food poisoning and spent my day traveling from public toilet to toilet on one of the most scenic drives in New Zealand and repeatedly stopping to vomit on the roadsides amidst the sheep and hobbits. It was not pleasant for me or my boyfriend who, at one point, had to hold up a towel so I could hide my shame from passing cars while the liquid "summer salad" violently exited my body. It didn't belong there. It might have been a fluke--I'll be the first to admit it appeared to be a quality restaurant, and I'm sure my experience is in the minority, but please heed my advice and trust your gut instinct when you accidentally order an expensive soggy salad.

FIRST TIME REVIEWER. We came for the beer but didnt stay for meal. Customer sevice was terrible. My awkward moment no toilet paper in the ladies. I waited for a staff member to pay me attention at the bar but she was busy filling water bottles. When I got her attention I advised her about the bathroom. I received no apology or thanks for advising her just a very offhand comment I'll fix it soon. It was hurtful when I was trying to be helpful. My spouse told me later he found it hard to get attention from young guy at the bar who was fluffing about and ignoring customers. Management I advise you to train your staff.
