Toorak Cellars

About

Neighborhood wine shop and bar specializing in boutique producers from near and far.

Story

Toorak Cellars is both a bottle shop and wine bar located just opposite Toorak station on Beatty Ave. Our aim is simple: to source, acquire and serve to you, the best wines we can find at any given price point, from near and far. Whether it be something to accompany a mid-week pizza, or Grand Cru Burgundy, we believe that every wine on our shelves should speak loudly of the dirt in which it was grown and most importantly... be delicious.

In the bar we serve a constantly changing 20 wines by the glass, or you can open any bottle straight off the shelf. We don't have a kitchen, but if you're hungry we have some creative ways of feeding you. Great wine is for everyone, and everyone is welcome. See you soon at the Cellars!

Love this little hidden gem. Great for a relaxing casual glass and nibble. Fabulous for their wine master classes. I see my first review was 4 years ago and my pate and champers brunch today was just as wonderful as then! And again.. I keep coming back whenever in the area. It's the perfect place also for a solo indulgence. hello, I'm back again!
Well, I reckons it was worth a walk all up nnI thought I'd take Zip for a nice long walk and check out another wine bar and even though TC was 45 minnies away, it was well worth the perambulation someone found a new word heh hehnnSpeaking of interesting wordsmithing - Toorak Cellars aint in Toorak or on Toorak Road and to add some mirth to it all, they work really well with the neighbourhood pizza joint next door - namely Neighbourhood Pizza - so there ya go. But to the wine bar we go.nnAlthough it was pretty busy the girl greeted Zip and I warmly and snuck us on a table in the naughty corner or so it felt - I was just happy to have a seat and judge err, people watch accordingly - but the communal table also looked inviting.nnNot sure if there was meant to be table service or they were just busy but I ended up grabbing my own menu and ordering a Rosé and cheesey/meaty board at the bar not before interupting a lovely lass from the Neighbourhood Pizza joint thinking she worked there. But god love her- she did try to get me a menu anyhoo heh heh. Post order, the wine and food came out quickly and it was all rather yummy.nnI did find the sugar cube of quince a 'fun size' - read into that as you will AND the bread came with butter too?! you don't see that often with cheese boards - well, I am an expert now - but all up - 'twas all very nice.nnFor a Friday night it is probably the busiest wine bar that Ive been too, must have some very loyal Toorakians - and post judging err, people watching, I thought a pretty good vibe all up! Plenty of OAPs and PYTs you can create your own acronyms as you like nnOH- even though there were some questions re letting Zip in, we eventually got there and that was very much appreciated too it was a bit chilly out.nnAll up- defo worth a cheeky wine or two.nThis also includes a picky of Zip post his long walk back
A great selection of quality wines for take home or enjoy in the convivial surroundings. The selection of cheese etc platters is good and apparently you can 'order in' food if the next door outlet isn't open, which it wasn't for us.nnThe open fireplace was nice on a chilly evening for our foursome.
Wonderful space to while away some hours over some nibbles and a few glasses of wine. The staff are passionate, friendly and engaged, and very happy to provide tastings on request.nnThere are cosy seats by the windows at the front and a courtyard out the back with its own bar window for sunny days.nnI especially loved the baked Camembert, which came dripping with honey and walnuts, and delicious baguette slices to soak up the gooey cheese.
My favourite watering hole where I love to indulge in a pepperoni pizza from the neighbouring neighbourhood pizzeria with a glass of delicious red.nnToorak cellars also provide delicious accompaniments for your favourite beverage but gracious enough to allow you to order from their neighbouring business and eat in their establishment.nnLovely evening sitting outside today.
