Loved the Sunday roast! Must try the pork belly and rump cap! Yorkshire pudding and rest on the plate was just so delicious and easy to share for two. Fish and chips well done too. Wide variety of beers on tap, including white bay variety. Service is friendly and efficient. Plenty of seating available indoors and a patio out back.
A group of 15 of us went for an amazing Christmas in July dinner. The food was sensational, service wonderful and overall a great experience. Julie was a dream to organise this with.
Had a lovely Sunday arvo/evening bevvy and food. Sat in the front bar which had a very nice cosy but lively vibe. Could order food from the menu, so we had the whipped bottarga, paté, chips with bearnaise sauce, and beef shin croquettes with Welsh rarebit sauce. Everything was so delicious! The croquettes in particular were to die for, and the chips were the best I've had in a very long time. Staff were really helpful and friendly too. Parking was easy to find, so will definitely go again.
The Welcome Hotel in Rozelle is a gorgeous back street corner pub, tucked away from the main drag. It's where locals go. It's got a front bar, a dining room and a courtyard out back. Something for everybody.nnThe menu is extensive, way bigger and more adventurous than your average pub. They offer three cuts of steak: a 300g rump, a 250g sirloin, and a 400g porterhouse. We ordered the 250g sirloin. No mash option offered, so we ordered some 'Paris mash' as a side, which was nothing like genuine Paris mash, if we're being honest.nnThe steak was good, although nowhere near their claimed 250g. The mash was not as creamy as Paris mash should be and the chicken gravy ruined it. Good mash doesn't need gravy, it just needs the meat accompaniment. Easy.nnWhilst the food was good, not great, but good, the front bar itself is an absolute gem. It's cosy, has a ton of tap beer options, and has a nice deep bar top - perfecting for sitting at and leaning on. And they had AFL on the TV. Result!nnThe Welcome is a good pub!
Sunday Roast Pork Belly was phenomenal. I couldn’t finish it even though I wanted to. So delicious.
