9th November - Our lunch choice today was The Welcome Hotel - a great story behind the name of the hotel and given the background of the hotel and the inclusion of dogs being welcome is such a great idea - not the we had ours with us but still it was nice to see such a pub. Quite historic in its decor and a great garden to enjoy our lunch in. The menu had some great options and we enjoyed the Balmain Bug and the Prawn Toast'ada. Unfortunately the Spiced Crispy Cauliflower and Cucmber Raita was not as nice as we expected - it felt a little over fried and the battering took away from the meal.nThe staff were helpful and accommodating. Great place for lunch in an unexpected part of the Rozelle neighbourhood
OMG what a schnitzel! So delicious and you can definitely see its home made. I will definitely be back.n1 small thing. They could offer a sauce to go with the schnitzel.
We had a lunch for 20 on a Sunday to celebrate a significant birthday! Considering Sunday lunch is their busiest time the food arrived at the same time! The table was beautifully set, the staff attentive, the meals plentiful, reasonably priced and delicious! Thanks
Outstanding pub and kitchen. The food is top shelf, with a limited but well selected range of craft beers on tap. If you stopped going because of the below par food back around mid 2019, you need to go back, the kitchen is completely transformed. The Sunday roast is also incredible.nnDog friendly, which is a huge plus too. Love this place.
Renovated warm and inviting irish? pub? They finally got a good chef and the food hqs improved to incredible! A must!
