The Terrace hairdressing offers the ultimate in luxury hair and beauty services, with an award winning staff and a priority on the customer experience. The salon is located in Launceston CBD on George Street, offering a central, yet private location for your beauty needs.

Opened in 1979 from former salon owners Michael Digney and Robin Atkins the salon has always been on the cutting edge of high fashion hair styling. Always evolving The Terrace current owners and creative directors Gemma Hamersley and Kim Cooley are taking a new approach to the success that has become The Terrace.

The Terrace only uses high-end luxury products found in only the best salons in the world. Unite is one of these brand of products, used by the likes of Kim Kardashion and Lady Gaga, Unite offers the ultimate in opulence hair care. The Terrace has also partnered with KMS California, offering their entire range of exclusive merchandise. For our male cliental we offer the American Crew range, known worldwide as the absolute in men’s hair styling and care.

The salon interior has a sophisticated feel and has been specially designed to combine a modern style with the unique traditional Victorian architecture of the exterior. Reclining lounge chairs have been installed so you can unwind while being pampered with a relaxing head massage or deluxe speciality treatment. If you require a more high energy experience, sit back and be inspired by the latest hair trends, fashion catwalks and photo shoots in our styling books.

The Terrace always has had a constant focus on education, in order to deliver the highest quality service to our clients. Education is never compromised, and team members routinely attend our in house training sessions. Training covers all aspects of the industry form the latest techniques in cuts, colours and product knowledge to photo shoots and session styling for magazines and film.

The Terrace has extended opening hours from 9:00am to 5:30pm Tuesday to Friday and 9:00am to 4:30pm on Saturday. However other times are available by personal appointment.

With over 50 years of combined experience in the salon, there is no doubt that The Terrace have established themselves as leaders in the industry. Our goal is to achieve the ultimate salon experience, creating gorgeous, wearable fashion looks for women and men. This ensures each client leaves the salon feeling good and looking amazing.
