The coffee is brilliant. There is a wide range of healthy snacks and the staff couldn't be friendlier. Central location in the CBD so you can get here for a quick coffee anytime. They kept a lot of the historic details of the space as well so it's got a great vibe.

Roberto's Cafe; A new kid in town... the place to be...?.

This cafe was a hairdresser salon for 40 years,  however you would not know this. Other than the name on the window, which the new owners cleverly used to name the cafe, no remnants  are left of the history of what once was an icon of days gone by.
Alberto's hairdresser is transformed  into an inviting, vibrant, modern, and bright cafe, where small feels big, is pleasantly noisy as people drink their coffee and engage in their conversations. 

The staff is friendly, and efficient, the coffee is consistently great!  Its good to see young people following their passion and starting a business. If they can keep up the momentum once the dust is settled  I have high hopes and believe this will be a successful adventure for Anna & Kate.

Why do I go there and why you should.

Firstly it is all about the coffee. There are so many cafe's out there that do not know anything about coffee. I, like many coffee drinkers,  will travel a long way for my daily fix. To initially test the coffee I always have an espresso, as one can not hide the flavour, aroma and the coffee making skills in this brew. They passed this test

I listen to how the milk is stretched and if it screeches, i run for my life:) which I haven't as yet.

A brand new LaMazocca is installed, which is an statement in itself.
They use Bonsai Soy milk, which does not leave you with a strange after taste so often experienced in other brands. I go for the coffee and date Scone, which is deliciously light and tasty. I have yet to have lunch here, so can not make a comment, however intend to do so soon, and will keep you posted.

The food displayed in the cabinet is well presented, looks fresh and inviting.

I look forward to my coffee every day, and this new kid on block certainly receives my thumbs up!

The only reason I do not give 5 stars, is because it leaves no room for errors, and no one is perfect:)

Cute little cafe tucked away on George Street. 
Very micern, plenty of seating, offers good small meals and nice coffee. 

Oh and the service is great.

For a new business they have it headed in a fantastic direction! A nice spot and great interior make Albertos the perfect coffee shop. Very popular too - so it musnt be just me!
The vintage feel of rustic to new layout deeply resembles modern design and architecture amongst historic heritage, and is a great asset to Launceston's culture.
However, the ambiance is quite loud and echoey making it difficult to chat, but it just shows everyone is having a great time. Might be an idea to invest in some soundproofing pads under the tables to remove noise pollution.
Great work team - a MUST VISIT coffee shop in Launceston!
