I was taken to the ED at TPCH by ambulance after tripping over my dog and coming down very heavilynI was attended to in a very timely manner and had X-rays done within no time which confirmed a fracture to my hip and elbownElbow was placed in plaster to stabilise so that I could have Total hip replacement surgery the next day.nI cannot speak highly enough of the entire staff and the compassionate care that I received throughout my 5 day stay.nI have private health insurance and was more than happy to stay at TPCH for surgery and care. Great knowing the hospital would be paid for my admission and carenAmazing team of professionals
Wonderful nurses and doctors in emergency department, and we had lovely paramedics. It was a stressful time as it was my first time calling the ambulance and in an emergency ward sitting by my unwell partner's side. But I really appreciated the kindness, professionalism and patience of the hospital staff not only with us but also others. Thank you for your service.
i had a knee replacement. a couple of days ago. the staff from the prince charles. we were fantastic. when arriving you are met by the charlie’s angels the volunteers . they help you with directions were have to go.then the surgeons and theatre nurses . were so caring. then comes the nurses running around . making shore that you were comfortable taking care of you. a massive big shout out to floor 2 nurses having to put up with us old bastards in room 25 thanks mon and liz for your care. we were keeping them on there toes . then came the crew from physo Mackenzie and sam they were so helpful . even down to the staff that you wheeled around in the wheel chair . and they make sure that you get to the flight-lounge for your journey to go home waiting to be picked up by your family . thanks again to the staff of the prince Charles hospital. regards mark
I went into this hospital at 1pm over myself having brown blood coming out of me while I was 5 weeks pregnant. I got out through almost straight away and the nurses and doctors I saw when I first got in were amazing. I got put to short stay and I was left ALONE for 2 HOURS, no nurse to check up on me or let me know the next step with what we were doing. I then got my partner to go and talk to said nurses who were sitting around the desk to get one to come see me, I told her that I wasn’t impressed and she then told me that people were sicker than me and she was busy. But she looked at me multiple times and NEVER SAID ANYTHING and was sitting at her desk the whole time chatting. They also never communicated with me about if I could eat or not. But let me sit in a room with no food or anything. I asked multiple times for food but they said I wasn’t allowed anything and they let me starve for 12 hours. The next set of nurses came and she was okay, but I had to wait 45 minutes past my scheduled ultrasound appointment and that was fine until it took them 7 HOURS to tell me if my baby was okay or not. It got to about 3am before I got extremely upset because I had not eaten ALL DAY because they wouldn’t give me ANY FOOD. Finally around 3:30am I got a doctor come in to tell me that I had a failed pregnancy. No explanation or anything just that I need to go to a different hospital next time and I need another blood test. I WILL NEVER GO BACK, they broke my heart and made me feel not important. Then to wait over 12 hours for some answers were CRAZY.nI’m still very positive about my pregnancy and hope everything comes back okay after my next blood test but I hope this can help someone or they can fix their staff and make people more polite.
Wonderful experience My special thanks goes to surgical ward all nurses, I was in hospital for 8 days. From ED to my treatment good experience.I want to say thanks to Dr Kia He is really good doctor in Endoscopy Department, He treated my problem.My anaesthetic were Andy and Leo. They were also really good. I was very anxious for my treatment but all team did great work. I am grateful I got treated by very good Doctor. Once again thanks Dr Kia, only one thing I want to add if the management can plan treatment sooner, rather than waiting and staying long term in the Hospital. Hospital should have more doctors available to do the procedures for patients
