I had all four wisdom teeth out today and the staff were kind, friendly and very gentle. When i went into the operating room i was greeted by my nurses and they talked me through everything they were doing. Not only that but when i woke up i woke up to a lovely nurse reassuring me that everything was okay. I want to commend their work today and i recommend to anyone who needs to have their wisdom teeth out.

I had four wisdom teeth removed by Dr Christopher Chahoud yesterday at the Chermside Day Hospital under general anasthetic with Dr Anton Loewenthal. The initial consultation with my dentist Dr Chee at Gateway Dental was amazingly calm and reassuring. After being referred to Dr Chahoud, I had a consultation that was equally calm and reassuring - I instantly felt comfortable about Dr Chahoud conducting the surgery. He was happy to discuss a range of options and hospitals for the surgery as I had no health insurance. I arrived for my surgery at Chermside Day Hospital and was greeted by a lovely receptionist. Not long after I met a calm and reassuring nurse and equally calm and reassuring Dr Loewenthal who answered all my questions. After waiting a couple of hours I was taken to meet my anesthetic nurse who was also lovely, calm and reassuring. Shortly after I was taken into theatre room and greeted by Dr Chahoud and the nurses before being put on general anesthetic. 15 seconds later I was asleep. I woke up half an hour later in recovery and was taken care of by more helpful nurses before being given instructions, a care package and being discharged. My script was sent down to the pharmacy so my family could collect my prescription before taking me home. The whole process was really easy and comfortable. I really appreciate the assistance of everyone from the beginning to the end and look forward to eating normal food again! I highly recommend all medical professionals mentioned in this review.

Had four wisdom teeth removed by Dr Hawthorne this morning and can't thank everyone enough for the care that was given to me. All the staff have been friendly and more than willing to help. I want to thank everyone for a pleasant surgical experience, thank you :-) I will be highly recommending your service :-)

It is a nice hospital and nice staff but the releasing needs to be looked at.  I witnessed another patient call the nurse and ask why she hadn't been processed to go home as she knew her pick up was at the hospital.  As soon as she mentioned it the nurse took her out to release her.  The same thing happened to me.  My pick up was told to come in an hour but I was left sitting there but as soon as I asked why I was still there she went away and came back and said I was ready to be processed for release.  This took more time and by the time I was let go it was 30 minutes after the safe time.  I was very alert and ready to go but what the problems is I don't know.  Patients just want too go home as soon as it is safe to do so.  It could improve.  Apart from that it is a nice hospital with nice staff.

Rude staff made visiting this hospital a very poor experience. Nurse threatened to cancel my surgery and then did not call back. Did not run through any pre-admission procedures. Bedside manner fail.
