Being the mother of three boys, all with different developmental issues, we have spent many hours and dollars at Dr Katie’s office over the past ten years and every penny has been worth it. Her knowledge and advice has kept my head above water on many ocassion and strategies I have implemented at home/school with her guidance have been life changing with my eldest achieving things I never dreamed he would ten years ago. Yes, sometimes there is a wait but if my children need extra time, they receive it too. I guess it works in swings and roundabouts. I have never felt not listened to or rushed out the door. Doctors, dentists and hospitals are always an extremely traumatic experience for my middle child and this is the only clinic where he has not expressed this anxiety. It’s a great feeling as a parent to know (assume) that I have chosen a paediatrician who will see out the 16 years of my boys childhood as both the child and doctor will have a great understanding of each other which makes it a lot easier for me!

A very disappointing consultation. First of all, there is a huge grey area as far as how much she chooses to charge. She was 20 mins late, so we saw her for only 40-45 mins yet I was charged the maximum fee of $500. When I contacted the clinic the next day to clarify this, I was told she "saw me for an hour and several intervention methods were discussed", both of which were untrue. Dr Katie comes across as very close minded as she questioned and discredited my concerns as well as the strategies that I told her had been successful and worked for my son. During the entire consultation, she didn't speak to or interact with him until we were walking out the door. It's very frustrating and such a disservice when doctors don't appreciate how much time and effort parents dedicate to study research and recent studies, as well as constantly speak to many other parents and doctors. Unfortunately, Dr Katie is one such doctor who doesn't see the value in learning from parents and instead regurgitates outdated information and interventions. I regret spending so much money on this doctor when it could have been much better spent elsewhere.
