Tried calling 4 times for an appointment during business hours to be on hold each time for 15 minutes only for a message at the end telling me they were closed. Called the next day and got through. Asked for a longer appointment so as to discuss a mental health care plan for my daughter and one other issue. Also asked about fees and the possibility of being bulked billed as I am a full time single parent with receptionist telling me that I can discuss this with the doctor at time of appointment. Get to the appointment and doctor tries to wrap things up after discussing mental health care plan. Told her I booked extra time but reception had failed to indicate this. Doctor rushed us through the 2nd issue and when I asked about bulk billing I was informed that it was not possible and put the blame on receptionist not knowing what they are doing. Then went on to tell me that we would be better off going somewhere else from now on as bulk billing wasn’t an option for this socioeconomic area and all the beautiful mansions around. When I replied we just live in a 2 bedroom unit she again replied that we would be better off finding another doctor. I’m our 5 months in this area everyone has been so welcoming and warm. This is the 1st time we were made to feel like we didn’t belong.
I have been a patient of this clinic for more than 15 years now. The doctors were fantastic to my partner who had a rare terminal illness causing progressive disability. They have also been great to me.. someone who has ongoing health issues including mental illness. They are so good I stay with them even though I don’t really live nearby at all. Dr Stacey Harris treats me with compassion and understanding, I cannot praise her enough. Dr Jenshel and Dr Hince have also been fantastic- as have all the other doctors I’ve had to occasionally see. Great that there are extended hours. The only let down is the fees but I feel they are worth it. I know not everyone is in a position to pay $40 or so out of pocket, but I find it an investment in my well-being.
Avoid Dr Lesley Hoy As a family, we have used this clinic many times and have had many great experiences. They generally have great doctors, but Dr Lesley Hoy is not one of them. She is very rude in her delivery and has zero empathy with the patient. She even refused to provide a service that I was entitled to. If I had seen other reviews on here, I would have avoided going to see her. There is a reason why she has last minute availability whereas other Doctors at this clinic do not.
When I need an urgent medical appointment. Kim receptionist is fantastic. She called me when there was a cancellation and rescheduled my appointment. Dr Julie is super friendly and kind. Thank you very much for your help today.
Dr Barbara was very personable, attentive, thorough and took time to address my questions. Always lovely to meet someone who is clearly born for the role. The reception staff were attentive and efficient.
Most and if not all doctors are professional and lovely. However the front desk and admin staff are disappointing to say the least. They are not helpful at all and are down right rude. The reception show no kindness and speak to patients with a tone of bitterness and belligerence. I rang the clinic to ask about changing and altering my appointment and i was met with hostility and rudeness. The lady who I was on the phone to was rude, uncivil and discourteous. She was very much unhelpful and said she did not have any information about appointments, leading me to rely on the platform HotDoc to book appointments and find information. I have been going to this practice for the last 10 years for my general medical needs and the past year I have found the reception to be the most horrible part of this clinic. One of my favourite GPs left the practice due to the state of the clinic admin staff. Reception and admin either need to be replaced or retrained with a level of sympathy and kindness.
The Doctor was patient and kind, he listened to me and gave me explanations and options including options of using natural medicines which I thoroughly appreciate. He did not hurry me, I felt I had time to talk I was not just another cow to be milked.
Good doctors but very rude receptionists. I was waiting at the reception desk for more than 5 minutes. There were three staffs, one was serving , one was on the phone and the male receptionist was sitting at the desk doing nothing at all. A Caucasian women cut in front of me and the male staff checked her in straight away and totally ignored me. When the female receptionist hang up the phone , instead of serving, she started to chat with the male staff. Those two were just not interested in their job or not interested in serving patients other than causation. I don’t intend to make it racial but this is how I felt today.
really one of the best experiences I've had a clinic for a long time. Everyone just went above and beyond, and Dr. Les Jenshel was so helpful, kind and very understanding.
First visit for my mother who is 80 years and few unsorted out issues. Coniela was thorough and welcoming. Pathology was helpful too.
