Bistro review only...nWe recently dined at The Grand Terminus Hotel, widely regarded as the top recommended venue for a meal in Bairnsdale, and it certainly lived up to the hype. We could not fault the experience.nnThe drinks were perfectly chilled, the menu offered excellent variety, and the portion sizes were just enough. Service was fast, friendly, and welcoming, adding to an enjoyable evening.nnMr P ordered the grilled chicken burger, and the fact that it featured grilled rather than fried chicken was what sold him. He thoroughly enjoyed it, noting that the only thing that could have made it even better was a slice of bacon which I’m sure could have been added if requested.nnI chose the 15-hour lamb shoulder salad. Lamb isn’t usually my first choice, but I couldn’t go past a slow-cooked option, and I’m so glad I didn’t. The lamb was incredibly tender, falling apart beautifully, and paired perfectly with the cauliflower salad. Absolutely delicious.nnIf you’re planning a visit, I’d recommend calling ahead to book a table, especially on a Thursday, which is member’s night and can get quite busy.nnHighly recommended for a great meal and night out!
Hotel review. Stayed one night, rooms are very clean and newly renovated. Everything was very comfy, great shower pressure and nice big towels. Overall a relaxing stay. Did not try the pub or restaurant but it was packed on a Tuesday which is always a good sign
I had dinner here.nReally good!!nThe steak was perfectly cooked plus a salad and chips, topped off with mushroom sauce.nAll was excellent.nThey found me a table, it was pretty busy.nI'll go back.
Food was amazing. Had the Chicken Parma. One of the best pub parmas I have had in a long time. The lemon, lime and bitters was on another level as well.
We went to the restaurant and oh my god - it was honestly the best food I’ve eaten in Australia! The fish curry special was absolutely delightful and the calamari were fresh and delicate. Beers and moscato were also top notch. The most special to me was the green hummus with beetroot crisps, it was just such a unique dish! Portion sizes were also all very generous. To top it all off, staff were absolutely lovely - would give them 6 stars if I could.
