Short stay here but I recognised the customer service. First with their greeting, second with after returning from ducking out ensuring I had booked in with a caring serving manner. But the room itself, clean and fresh smelling. Very neat and comfy. I hope to stay again, otherwise I have given word out to my family this is the place to stay.
This is the second time we have stayed at the motel and I would stay here again without hesitation. The owners are lovely to deal with and make everything very easy. The rooms are large, modern, comfortable and spotless. I especially appreciated the decent number of tea bags and real milk in the fridge! The location is perfect for walking to shops and eateries. Highly recommended for a stay in Bairnesdale.
I would have scored this place higher, but there are a few things that have held me back. Firstly, the sign in the room that asks you to wash your own dishes, this is a motel not a self contained unit. There is no sink apart from the bathroom sink. Does this mean that the people before me washed the cups in the bathroom sink?? This is not acceptable and probably the main reason I will not stay here again while traveling through this area. I am always “on the road” and have never been expected to wash my own coffee cups in a bathroom. The sign also says that there is no servicing of rooms on Sundays, but mine wasn’t serviced on the Saturday either. Unfortunately I had left my towel on the floor on Saturday morning as I had used it for three nights at that stage, this left me with no clean towel for the Sunday morning. It also meant that my take away food containers from the night before had spent the entire day in the bin leaving a less than pleasant odor in the room during the hot day. I feel that charging $4 for a bottle of Woolworths water in the mini bar is a bit steep when I can buy a 24 pack up the road for $9, but the rest of the mini bar prices seemed ok, most places I stay in offer complimentary bottled water.nThe room itself was spacious and mostly clean, but there is a rather large stain on the carpet.nThere is no fitted sheet on the bed so I spent part of each night trying to rearrange the flat sheet that was used as an under sheet that kept coming untucked. On the two occasions that my room was made up, it wasn’t with clean bedding, but a rather hastily remake of what was on the bed. It was far from perfect. Overall not the most unpleasant stay, but unfortunately the negatives outweighed the positives for me. I will say that the office staff while checking in were extremely friendly.
Simple and clean. Rooms are spacious. Double bed. In the hall while the 2 singles are in the room. Sink and simple microwave and mini fridge available. Shower / toilet is a little squeezy.nBowls and plates with cutlery are made available. Toaster and kettle as well. Coffee and tea with biscuits are complimentary.nThey clean your rooms daily if required is a plus so you can get fresh towels daily.nReception is friendly and helpful.nGood location and park right in front of room.nWould stay again if in the area.
Family Rooms were lovely, clean and renovated exactly what is needed for an overnight stay with comfy beds. Only downside was our Family room was at front of hotel and the road noise was loud. kids second bedroom was very hot aircon didn’t seem to reach that room and window couldn’t open.
