I booked a table for two, but, very last-minute it ended up being three of us.nnWhen we arrived, I advised the girl who greeted us of this, and she was very abrupt, saying that they can’t accommodate three and we can walk around the pub side and see, if we can find anything.nnI didn’t have an issue with the message, but I definitely didn’t like its delivery.nnAfter a few minutes of walking around, we got lucky and got a great table just as someone else was vacating it.nnThe menu looked very good and it was hard to choose what to have.nnI opted for the Cauliflower Steak, as often vegetarian food is the most flavorful — I was spot on! This couldn’t have been more delicious — the pomegranate on top was such a great contrast to the rest of the flavours.nnMy company loved their schnitzel and Parma too.nnThe service at the bar, when ordering the food and the drinks was great too.nnOverall, a good experience and very delicious food, with one insignificant speed bump.
Great value for money!! Monday special steak for $25 was really good, it must be considering they were booked out in the dining room for a Monday night. It’s a great hospitality offer & happy hour for drinksn4-6pm, well done!! Food yummy, service was great & cool ambience. We”ll be back again.
We enjoyed a great lunch from start to finish. The service was attentive without being intrusive, the menu comprehensive, the food delicious, specials were great value & the drinks reasonably priced. Atmosphere was hard to gauge as there were only 2 other tables occupied. We will definitely be back.
We lucked in to Thank God Its Thursday $2 oysters and $7 prosecco...food was fabulous, we also loved the fried chicken tenders and burrata salad. Unfortunately there were road works right outside, so the atmosphere was a little average, but that wasn't the pub's fault. It was really quiet at lunch which probably didn't help the noise levels outside but all in all a great afternoon. We'll definitely be back for another TGIT lunch soon
The chicken parma was so burnt that my son could not eat it. I took the parma home and even the dog would not eat the chicken. My food was bland. I had the salmon and grain salad. I ordered a green salad that had so much cheese on it is looked like candy floss. My friend had the fish of the day which was a small piece of rockling and one big leak and potato chip swimming in some lemon herb butter. He said it was ok. I had eaten earlier in the day at the NGV restaurant. The food cost the same but the quality, service and atmosphere was a million time better.nNot sure if they were super busy but it took nearly 40 mins for our food to come. The dinning room was so hot and uncomfortable. We were seated on a table that was kicking out. I did ask to move but my son and friend did not want to. It was very very uncomfortable. The bill was $129 and not worth it. It was such a shame because I have eaten there before and it was great. Maybe a bad night. Sorry but it was really not enjoyable. Such a shame
