Old school Italian! A Melbourne institution. The gnocchi was amazing. Soft and pillowy. Best I’ve had. Polenta chips are also a must every time we come here or city wine shop. I was curious about the orange rose wine and they let me have a taste to see if I liked it. The wine was really unique, not too sweet and a bit dry. Just how I like it! Prices on the high side but well worth it for a treat!

Absolutely a good restaurant with fine food and wine. The wine list exceptional. Octopus is a must ordered dish. Definitely will come back.Food: 5/5

Great chicken, as expected. Coleslaw was moreish and fresh. Lamb brains a little disconcerting did not expect them to be served whole; fried artichoke forgettable. But good wine, good atmos.

Last time I came here for a lunch before the lockdown. Last night we came Here for drinks and I couldn’t help myself to order a dessert. It was so good. The staffs all very friendly and knowledgeable with the wine selections.

It’s always good here.  Lovely atmosphere, sophisticated and delicious food, good wine list and top staff.  Hard to beat at any time.  Highly recommended.

Had lunch here today pre Hamilton and was not disappointed.  I arrived early and was made feel warmly welcome.  It has been awhile since my last dining experience here and can I say that it just gets better.  Ally was amazing!  Please never let her leave!  Her warmth, lovely personality and exceptional knowledge of the menu and wine list definitely second to none.  Give her a pay rise!! The food was incredible - bone marrow entre for me, anchovy toast for my friend who liked it so much that she ordered another!  Main was Ox tongue and escargot for yours truly and chicken schnitzel for my friend accompanied with a side of the delicious Brussels sprouts.  We would have stayed there all day if we didn't have tickets to the theatre.  Thank you so much Ally for looking after us, you are amazing.  We are already planning our next visit.  Big shout out to Ally!

Great dinner. The Schnitzel is non standard but a nice cut of a chicken.
