Both dishes are beautiful! Beautiful home made pasta ! Price is not cheap, but it is reasonable for a restaurant located in the city and portions size is reasonable. It is a nice place
Wonderful to be back after such a long time. They’ve extended the outdoor seating area with a row of pot plants which makes it a really nice space to enjoy the longer and warmer nights. Some of the old dishes I enjoyed are no longer there sticky date pudding but there are plenty of new options all of which were delicious. The highlight was definitely the Gnocchi with blue cheese but would recommend the salad with it as well the cut through the richness. Bathrooms have been also nicely renovated since my last time here. Whether it’s an after show drink and dessert or 3 course dinner, would highly recommend.
The staff were absolutely amazing. Thanks to everyone that served us for lunch today, it was lovely! The cod croquettes were my stand out. Yum!
was so excited to go here after buying all the cookbooks. service was nothing short of terrible outside. couldnt get a waiter to come to the table. brought still not sparking. lost out calamari came well after other entrees.....
Low quality service. Requested our wine 3 times before receiving it, only for it to be poured after finishing mains and entrees. Requested focaccia twice which never made it to the table. Server took my eftpos card to take payment themselves which I've never experienced in a restaurant before. Would've preferred to do myself as to enter tip etc. Food was good but wouldn't go again and wouldn't recommend. So many better restaurants in Melbourne offering similar product with higher quality service.
3.75 stars - popped by to try their dessert. The place provides a very warm, vintage vibes and the staff were friendly. We tried the: Cannoli with ricotta and pistachio - nice and creamy with nice crunch from the nuts, the shell wasn't very crispy tho Tiramusu - a bit on the expensive side. Very rich and heavy, would recommend sharing. The hint of mint chocolate was a nice after-taste
Sweet little bar, could be more seating but then may loose the local bar feel. Has a cool range of local spirits to buy, nice place for a pre drinkFood: 5/5
Excellent service, reasonable prices for the quality of food and location. I would recommend the soft egg with anchovies.
A fine experience. Sat outside on a nice day, and the drinks were lovely. The service however is extremely underwhelming. The waiters rush past you in avoidance and seem to be bewildered when you ask for something. The food: lasagna is great but the risotto is super disappointing- a really small serve with no flavour whatsoever. At that price it should be something special. Overall it’s a nice place to stop for a drink maybe - but that’s where it stops.
Service was slow bc our server wasn't watching tables, so we had to approach her to ask for menus, then again when we were ready to order. My friend ordered a wine - the empty glass was put on the table then 15min later a different waiter came over with the bottle. My pasta wasn't fully cooked - it had a slight crunch.
