Pellegrini's Espresso Bar

I loved this place! The experience is authentic and no frills. The bar staff aren't very engaging but they are quick and always at your service which added to the experience. The plates of pasta were generous, homely and delicious, as was the rest of the food including the fresh cream with ricotta cake. Don't forget to try the granita!

As a person who hasn't been to Pellegrini, it was awkward sitting outside and ordering without a menu. Though, when the food arrived, it was delicious! Lasagna was two thumbs up for us but the carbonara was a little average. No price tags as well so a little weird if you don't know if the prices are right.

Great pasta, excellent coffee, fancy location, if you want to taste their best seller cream caramel be early as they all gone before lunch.

Always a great experience going to Pellegrini's. Been coming for 5 years and have enjoyed many a time the lovely atmosphere and hospitality the staff provide. Granitas are a must order and can't go wrong with the bolognese. Highly recommend if you have yet the chance to visit.

Cozy Italian cafe. You feel like you served on the kitchen bench of an Italian family home. I’m a big fan of their cakes with lots of cream and a bittersweet hot chocolate.

We had dinner here, my partner had seafood pasta and I had a lasagna. And we both really enjoyed our food, don’t expect anything fancy but great flavors with rustic ambiance. Place feels like stepping back into the 80s, Rocco is super friendly and made us feel welcome. Definitely coming back again to this institution in Melbourne.
