This Little Collins St Kitchen has changed since someday before after COVID19. Dine-in menu for dinner is now pretty simpler as there is no longer fancy buffet run for dinner, nevertheless quality of shucked oysters with caviars is pretty good and worth paying for. Wagyu hamburger for the lunch menu was good and worth paying for as it was still better quality than Hungry Jack. Coffee in this hotel is not worth paying for as coffee beans do not look fresh nor aromatic flavor. Downside is; 1. This restaurant and cafe does not have local beersMelbourne one 2. A glass of Moet Champagne costs $24, while there was no refreshing bubbles left in a glass. 3. The worst part is that staffs in the bar has no idea why patrons and guests are paying for $24 in the bar instead of buying this bottle of Champagne $60 in the bottle-shop. And they insisted that freshness of Champagne is still good although a bottle was opened for a day, maybe morning or afternoon they do not remember anything. Overall I was satisfied with cook in this restaurant, but not recommended for Bar and dinner if you may look for better and quality of food and unless staying at this Hotel including breakfast is a package option. There are plenty of better restaurants near this hotel.
The restaurant for the Sheraton Melbourne. Pretty solid kitchen that also does the rooms service and the hotel breakfast. Burgers are really good and the salt and pepper squid was also a solid choice. Buffet breakfast is the usual hotel offering with hot food buffet, pastries and fruit. Eggs made to order including omelet. Staff are friendly and efficient
Shoutout to Stephen for going above and beyond. Appetisers and entrées were incredible. Mains were alright. Cocktails were good!
Just had their 8 course Christmas lunch. What a joy! Fabulous food, meticulously planned menu, waitstaff unstinting in their attention and food delivery. Could not fault it and will be back next year.
Went there with 3 friends for a Saturday seafood buffet with our Groupon vouchers. Only had 2 staffs on the floor serving everyone. Staffs kept forgetting to clear our tables as we had oyster and prawn shells in bowls or bring us water. To be honest it was not their fault because I think the place was understaffed. Towards the end when it was quieter, staffs were really nice to tell us that the buffet was coming to an end and we should grab our desserts. Food wise I think the crab didn’t taste too fresh but everything else was great.
Staff and manager were friendly and attentive. Apart from this, nothing impressive. Very disappointing on the quality of food indeed. As for seafood, prawns, mussels, poached and smoke salmon, crabs, scallops and oysters. For seafood lovers, the tastebuds would have been satisfied. We found the oysters had a unique aftertaste and asked the management about its origin. As adviced, they were sourced from south Australia and in summer time they had some bitterness that would not be very welcoming to the diners. We were confused by the comments. Aren't the management be serving food on par with customers' expectations? Hot food items included lamb, chicken, duck, pork and beef. A bit overcooked and dried. The sauteed beef was the only highlight. Meat lovers would be very disappointed. Dessert and salad bars were very average too.
I was reading all the reviews online and hesitated to make a booking for my wedding party. I’m glad I decided to try for myself. First the service was amazing! I booked in advanced and pre-ordered a la carte menu. It was a breeze dealing with all their staffs. They communicated to each other well so I didn’t have to explain to every single one of them every time I contacted them. They were able to accommodate my request in advanced to arrive at 11.30, which would be earlier than their usual lunch hours at 12 pm to have refreshments. I was originally told that we could wait at the lounge seating at the front of the restaurant, which was fine but people would be walking around us. Again, I wasn’t fuzzy about this. But when we arrived today very early at 11 am, we were seated in a very private area that was reserved for our party next to the bar on those comfortable chairs. Unexpected and wonderful experience! It was intimate space and away from all the restaurant patrons. For refreshments, we had coffee and tea with those Buttermilk Fried Chicken sliders and Baked Camembert with herb and garlic butter along with toast. Those were great and such a hit with all my guests. When we were seated at 12 for lunch, we were well taken care by staffs. Alison was knowledgeable with the wine selection. Love the Australian sparkling wine she recommended. When the food arrived, the portion was not at all what I expected. It was huge portion. Calamari was tender. Mushroom risotto was very good according to my husband. I had salmon for entree. Perfectly cooked with red curry butter sauce to spice it up. It’s not spicy but definitely something different that I would order again. The steak was beautiful and everyone enjoyed the meal. I particularly love my strawberry macaron! Delicious and fresh to clean my palette after the fish. The dark chocolate hazelnut fondant was nice and warm. The richness of chocolate was satisfying especially to go with rum raisin ice cream. Overall excellent service and amazing food. Definitely memorable experience for our special day. I will recommend to anyone looking for cosy and comfortable ambience with great food and five-star service.
Spend $89 on Groupon to eat their weekend seafood buffet for 2. Great value for money. I was lucky because my reservation was dated on the day where they have Indonesian Buffet too. Amazing experience
A nice little restaurant located in the Melbourne Sheraton Hotel. The food dishes were delicious, but I would like to see more seafood options. The seafood quality was fresh and delicious though. The desserts were amazing!! That was my favourite part of the dining experience.
I went here with my wife for our wedding anniversary We absolutely loved the seafood buffet They’ve got and all of them were delicious‍ When you purchase through Groupon they give you a free glass of wine or beer or juice for each person And don’t forget to try their deserts ~
