My local f&c, quality is patchy at best. Tonight's effort = completely ruined fish, overcooked until it was white cardboard. I've had one really good meal and a lot of average ones in two years.

Wish I could give minus stars , food was terrible burnt guy has no idea how to cook , ordered whiting , was not whiting steamed dim sims where brown looked like they had been sitting there for a week no gloves used in preparing food this place is definetly a no go if you want to have a good meal , new owners have definetly let down the old reputation

Nice local fish and chip shop with good prices and great service. Fish is fresh and well cooked. Chips are perfect.

The new team have now got it bang on. Flake, sav in batter, grease discs, dimmo, chips, and a burge. All just as perfect as ever. No kebabs anymore though. Ahh well, The Kout's definitely still the grouse!!

The grilled fish is of a quality you would find in a high end restaurant and their chips are as good as any I've had anywhere else and are almost as good as my home cooked ones. I drive past 3 fish and chip shops to get to The Couta. Customer service is excellent.
