The Cheeky Yam

We found this place while staying at the hotel nearby and we're so sad we didn't discover it sooner! The cheeky cheese was so delicious! It had tons of avocado which we have been sorely missing since traveling from the US. The basil pesto was also fabulous!! I got a coconut milk dark mocha and would highly recommend!

SO TASTY!! And presentation is great. A bit pricy but it worths it. Staff needs to pay a bit more attention to customers. Looks like they are unreal busy. Can forget about your order but then bring small smoothy as an excuse :

I had a food orgasm. That tofu dish. Oh. My. God. That's my new favorite dish now ever!! That sauce. ..I can't say how badly I never wanted that flavor to stop!

This place never disappoints. The food is delicious, the servings are very generous and the staff are lovely. And EVERYTHING is vegan! The Cheeky Yam is the only restaurant in Cairns that can claim this. Make sure you try my favourites: the Mush-Fu and the Soul Bowl and prepare to be delighted.

Awesome food! Usually find vegan too expensive and a bit bland but this food had some beautiful, distinct flavors, obviously made with a passion. Price was reasonable. I had the black bean burrito and a peanut butter smoothie. Wife had a mush-fu wrap and juice. Both awesome and unique!

The Cheeky Yam is by far the greatest vegan cafe in Cairns. The food is incredible! Literally everything on the menu is amazing! This is truly some of the best food I have ever eaten. A hidden gem! Do yourself a favour and stop by for a meal. You can thank me later..
