Our 4 night stay at The Charrington was very pleasant and quiet. We were welcomed by a friendly gentleman who explained the sensitives of the smoke alarms and the room keys set up. The rooms were very quaint, neatly set out, clean, with lovely little balcony overlooking the greenery and the beds were surprisingly comfortable and we had everything that we needed. Yes they were on the small side but the comfort level was excellent. The bathroom was functional and was no issue having to close the door due to the steam as the ventilation was excellent from the window. I did not find having to go to the courtyard an issue to boil the kettle, as the kitchen was well laid out. It just felt like home. The only flag would be that there is no lift which maybe an issue for accessibility for people. Although it is street parking, we did not have any issues. The location is so handy to Chatswood and the train station, not to mention the buses along the Pacific highway. We would certainly stay there again. Thank you team.
Beautiful and luxurious, historically restored bed and breakfast hotel. The rooms are compact but have everything you need. Great location-short walk to Chatswood shops and to the Metro train line to the city of Sydney. Great staff. Will stay again.
Wonderful Victorian-style clean, quiet and friendly hotel. I would give this hotel 5 stars simply for the old British Victorian but clean and modern architecture and fittings alone! It really made our trip : They also really go the extra mile in terms of providing better-than-expected perks, such as Nespresso pods in the rooms, nice toast, cereal, coffee, fruit, croissant, and yogurts for breakfast, and free washing machine and tumble dryer use! The neighbourhood is also so lovely. Seriously you will not be disappointed if you stay here, in fact it will supplement your trip so nicely : staff are lovely too! Perfect Sydney hotel! If only so could live in a building like this.
We arrived quite late, but had received clear instructions on the door codes, so entry was easy.nnBuffet breakfast was very well provisioned with choices of cereal, toast, fruit, juices and an excellent coffee machine.nnA beautiful restoration of an old building with leaded light windows. The balcony was great for bird watching in the neighbouring trees.nnDaily room service was almost too much as towels don't really need changing every day, but emptying the bin and topping up coffee and tea was very welcome.nnVery helpful management who allowed us a late check-out as our flight was late afternoon.nnOverall, a very enjoyable stay and we will be back on our next Sydney trip.
We had a lovely stay. The room was very clean, quaint and comfortable. The bed was particularly comfy. Service was excellent, with convenient adter hours codes for check in. Continental brekky was also really good.
