Called in with the family on way home going north. Was extremely disappointing not any pineapple plants to be seen only did train tour and orchard has been let go. Could see some animals on train mainly farm animals. Was defently not what we thought it would be. Have such great memories of what it once was.

The kids had a ball. Loved the train & seeing all the different trees named & some with fruit. They thought the sausage tree was hilarious. A fun day out

I have many fond childhood memories of going to the Big Pineapple. I still love going there to this day. Either make it a few hour visit and check out the whole complex or just stop for driving break and get a drink and a bite at the gift shop. Make sure you get your picture taken at the Pineapple.

We went along to The Big Pineapple for the first time since the mid 70's today. Oh my goodness what a disappointment and embarrassment... I brought an interstate visitor and we took the train ride....it was dirty and the canvas appeared mouldy.....the train 'labored" ..at one time the visitor said are we going to have to get out and push!. Fences and lattice work was seen in broken states round the venue. Paint work is old and peeling everywhere the empty buildings are dirty and signs falling down. The Big Pineapple was closed for renovation. We passed Asian visitors taking pictures with the Pineapple in the background..... and sat with more Asian people on the train ride. It was impossible to hide our embarressment and shame.....to realise that people are encouraged to visit such a third rate venue as part of a QLD tourist guide recommendation. There is so much potential at this site ......should not have been opened until it had reached some level of professionalism.

This was the first time visiting this venue. Would not come back. Everyone talks about going to see “The Big Pineapple” on the sunshine coast so you build it up to be an amazing trip, sadly this is not the case when you get there. We found a big pineapple, a handful of market traders selling second hand goods and a derelict building. We visited on a weekend so we expected it to be busy, sadly it was more like a ghost town. The building is needing repairs, there is a coffee shop selling a lot of products but very few pineapple products.
