It was such a great experience at this zoo for the entire family. You can get up close and personal with all the animals. The zoo keepers are very passionate about their animals and love trekking your all about them, plus giving you a chance to pat them.

Great to see a famous landmark being revitalized. Hadn't been there in a very long while........too long. The site needs a great amount of work done to bring it back to its best. I was pleasantly surprised to to find that the Alma Park zoo has relocated to the Big Pineapple. Now known as the Queensland Zoo/ Wildlife HQ, things are looking up for both of these icons now they've join forces. O.K. so things are looking a bit worse for wear, yet looking past this, there are a lot of improvements being carried out. All the staff were great, always happy to talk about the animals they're caring for. There's plenty of variety & new animals being added regularly. I think the only way is up for this venture, I wish them all the best for the future & we'll be calling in again to see how it's progressing.

Such a beautiful place. The keepers are amazing and the animals are so cute and friendly. The dingos are definitely worth doing an encounter with! Or the Sugar Gliders! 100% recommend.

A great little zoo, with a family feel to it (rather than being a massive commercial place). The entry fee is not high for the amount of animals and space there is around, so it's quite good value for money. There is a little train that goes around too which is fun for kids.

The zoo is not too big but not crowded at all so one can enjoy walking around and watching the animals in calm. The best thing is the koala cuddling! Such an amazing experience! And they say its just allowed in Queensland. The volunteer girl explained some facts about koalas which was very interesting. You can also pay for cuddling other animals. Kangaroo, emu, some other birds walk free around. I enjoyed it a lot!
