Absolutely loved Nambour parkrun. Not for everyone as it’s a relatively tough trail parkrun supposedly the second hardest parkrun in Australia. The walk / run through Parklands Conservation Park felt amazing, especially as we got to see Fluffy the Friendly Emu along the way. Be careful going down the hills and enjoy huffing and puffing up the hills! So good and I’m glad I did it.
Reputedly Australia's toughest Parkrun. If you enjoy challenging fire trail running through forests with steep ascents and descents, then this one is for you. Be aware that there are no toilets at the start line, though water is available. After heavy rain or when the creek crossing is dangerous, course changed to out and back.
A really friendly and welcoming group of volunteers preside over what many say is the toughest Parkrun course in Australia. Yes, it’s very hilly with several challenging climbs. But this is made up for being able to run some beautiful trails through stunning eucalyptus forest. A must-do for any Parkrun tourist visiting the Sunshine Coast.
Shared trail with mountain bikes. Wide in parts but further in the walking track is steep in some sections, gravel and big trees have fallen and blocked the trail. Gets busy on weekends. No facilities on site. There is signs to mark trail entrance.
Dubbed the hardest parkrun in Australia, this awesome trail has plenty to offer! There's no footpath, it's all a rocky, dirt, and gravel trail run through the Parklands Conservation Reserve. Definitely worth trying out this for a unique parkrun experience. Oh, and there's se huge hills, so don't be surprised if you end up walking some of it!
I volunteered here for the first time last week awesome bunch of people nice and friendly. This is not a huge parkrun with hundreds of people so it feels intimate and fun. This is the toughest parkrun in Australia and is a Trail run make sure you wear mozzie repellent
Beautiful bush setting for this Parkrun through trails in the eucalyptus forest. It is a real challenge up and down the hills, so definitely one to tick off your list.
Beautiful stunning bush setting takes your mind off what is a challenging run. Super friendly team of volunteers and parkrunners welcome all levels of fitness
I have participated in many Parkruns and this is the toughest Parkrun that I have done. I plan to attend whenever I an in the area.
Nice place to go hiking ...
