Nice food, good service, reasonable prices.

We visited after seeing the 4.5/5 rating and positive reviews. Entrees were larger than average and tasty. The mains we selected were disappointing. The portions were large but very bland. The Pad Thai noodles seemed to be flavoured with tomato sauce. The chicken Nasi Goreng was largely tasteless and accompanied with what looked like frozen vegetables. The egg noodles with the beef Hokkien Noodles were nice but the beef was totally un-marinated so drained the overall flavour. Based on our experiences at many other Thai restaurants the Thai Sunrise Restaurant was far below our expectations. Perhaps the usual chef was on holiday?

The best genuine Thai Restaurant in our beautiful city! Great staff, great prices and their never too busy to make your visit important. Brian and your lovely wife have the best thai in town! And ive lived from kaitaia to the bluff! Kudos Thai Sunshine. No complaints.
