Story

Tentworld is an online camping retail store with 10 physical locations. It has been in operation since 1968 supplying Australia with quality camping & hiking equipment.

We take pride in our customer service, and great value offering. We have enabled hundreds of thousands of people to have great camping holidays.

We stock a wide range of top brand names such as Blackwolf, Darche, Engel, OZtent, OZtrail & Waeco to name just a few. There are 10 retail store locations across Australia. See our website for locations.

At our stores you can find a large range of tents, swags, portable fridges and much more camping gear can be seen on display. Our experienced staff can help you with camping and product knowledge as well as product selection which is something we pride ourselves on and sets us apart from the competition.

The Tentworld website & Online store has been operating since 2003 so that all of Australia can take advantage of our excellent customer service, product knowledge and sale prices. I have only been there once. The manager served me and very patiently answered my many questions and was happy to share his own personal experience with some of the products and places he had used/been. He was a wealth of information. The other guy working there seemed to intensely hate everybody in the whole world, but personally I had nothing to do with him. Had he been serving me I would have bought nothing, as it was I walked out 200 bucks lighter and 200 times happier than other customers who had the misfortune of being catered to by the other guy. This is merely my observation, for I had no personal interaction at all with him. One other thing, and this is not a complaint by any means, but if they had an old fashioned lay-by, lay-buy? system then I would have set up about another 2k worth of stuff as there were 3 particular items I desperately wanted. Some of us customers still prefer to use our own money rather than credit cards or buy now pay later options. And unfortunately I didn't have that kind of cash to spare. But if I could have set up for example a payment plan of $100 per week and collected the goods only after full payment had been received then I would have absolutely done that. Overall though, I can't recommend Tentworld highly enough. I will definitely be back.
The best store in the world, so addictive. I love it. The staff are so helpful and caring. I spoke to Jordan about my setup and it was the best decision I ever made. Definitely coming back! Moi Buen!
Had a really pleasant experience from friendly helpful staff. Gave me good information, took a holding payment for an order, helped with a few other items. Very efficient.
I went into Tent World today to pick up an 15amp to 10amp converter for the caravan. Took it home and cut the packaging to find I purchased the incorrect one. Made a phone call back to say the package had been cut open expecting to hear I wouldn't be able to exchange it. To my surprise the lady I believe her name was Simone happily advised to bring it back to exchange. Great experience. Well done guys.
The chick with the tattoos has poor service. Blunt, not interested in anything nor helpful. The dude with eyebrow shaved lines, legend. Helpful, insightful, and honest! The reason I gave 2 stars rather than one
Fantastic place to shop, great staff, extremely polite and full of knowledge. Stocking an extensive range of all your camping needs. A must to do, visit prior to your next camping trip.
Poor service, staff who don't seem to care or have much interest in actually helping you buy the right product. Don't waste your time going here, literally every other camping store i have been to is far more interested in helping you.
False advertising, Tentworld advertise a price match guarantee, I was just refused this guarantee in the Warana store on an item. I showed them the item as advertised elsewhere, they confirmed the price through their own search and brought up the price on screen, they added the shipping cost from the competitor and flatly refused to match the competitors price plus shipping!! Is your staff aware of the Guarantee? do they know that Tentworld advertise this in black and white on their website? Go to 'Outback Adventures' in Morayfield, its just down the road, these are the guys that had the better deal that Tentworld wouldn't match even though they advertise a price match guarantee.

Always great service and they will walk with you to find what you want. Not like one of the other large camping chains. The young girl who served me yesterday knew everything about the 3 items I bought which she helped me select. Well done.
