We were coming down north of Christchurch and needed to stretch our legs. Saw this cafe on the map and decided to come here.nnIt’s charming. Meaning you can tell a lot of locals come here and they know their regulars and who are tourists. Coffee is decently good. Just very strong. The pastries were delicious. So stop by when you near.
Bang for buck is disappointing, got the eggs Bennie but as the muffin is replaced by hash browns this meant a plate of all I can describe is mush, that and added mushrooms $6.00 for maybe one mushroom is very un reasonable pricing. lacked any seasoning giving me nothing but a bland mushy meal as you would expect in a hospital maybe. total price $31.00, coffee was great just very disappointing on food quality quantity and price fat to high for what I got only good part of the review is presented nicely
We were passing through Ashburton on the way from the airport to Lake Tekapo & saw this cafe was open. As we were in desperate need of coffee we called in. Coffee was served quickly & presented well but was a tad bitter though. All the food we saw looked amazing & the staff were great
