Cleavers Corner is a Gastro Pub that specialises in high quality food, beverage and service.

During the day cleavers is the perfect spot to meet for a business lunch or coffee with colleagues and clients.

The evening allows guests to come unwind in the bar with sharing plates, wine, cocktails and craft beers.

The restaurant is slightly separate from the bar which creates a more intimate atmosphere for guests dining and enjoying our main menu.

Bloody Good Feed! Both of our meals were cooked nicely and tasted even better then they looked! Highly recommend coming here the atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming. Would 100% go back
The drinks here were fantastic , with a wide range of alcoholic beverages as well as some fantastic mocktails. The drinks were bought out quickly and as a big group there was almost no difference between the rate at which they came out. However the feature that let them down was the unfriendliness of the staff. We kept getting side glances and when we got a drink on the menue confused due to a spelling error we got met with an eye roll. Not the best customer service how ever the drinks more than made up for it
Stopped for a drive break on way south and its such a lovely spot. Super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent coffee. Lovely atmosphere and great decor - would love to visit for a meal. Also free parking right across the road.
The food was absolutely stunning. We had the chicken wrapped in bacon and it was devine! I’d love to know what type of sauce the red sauce was on the plate with it. The sauce absolutely complimented the meal. The staff, although young, were obviously well trained and enjoyed their work. Friendly, smiling, considerate and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone and will be returning any time I’m going to or through Ashburton!
Impromptu decision one Thursday night for our group of 7 to go out for dinner, rang up to make a booking and they managed to fit us in even though they were very busy both bar and dining sides of the pub. Despite being so busy and an excellent play list in the background it was still easy to hold a conversation. The whole evening was brilliant from start to finish - food, drinks fantastic selection of cocktails and service were all amazing!!
Easy place to stop on way to Chch. Breakfast was lovely and well presented. Coffee great. And service was excellent. Very friendly!
Can't recommend this restaurant enough! Top quality food, great drinks, must try the alcoholic lemonade. Staff were awesome & attentive even though it was busy. Looking forward to visiting again.
It was absolutely incredible! The service was wonderful as was the food. They were very accommodating in making vegetarian alternatives and were lovely about it! Highly recommend and will definitely come back when in Ashburton again!
Great Service, Great Food! Would definitely revisit
We had lunch here and this place is overpriced considering the menu options. The food was good but nothing exceptional, coffee was so so a first since we arrived in NZ. The menu examples we saw online are outdated the current prices are much higher, they don't have small plates offering or soup any longer either. Wouldn't recommend for lunch.
