Story

While Tasmanian Gourmet Seafood's has been established sense 2009. It’s Tasmanian owners have a vast knowledge of the seafood industry and together they have created an international and locally respected company. Tasmanian Gourmet Seafoods sources its Souther Rock Lobster (Crayfish) from accredited Tasmanian suppliers which allows us you control quality and supply. All our other Seafood is sourced from Australian and New Zealand waters. Our industry is heavily monitored and catches are restricted to ensure no over fishing occurs.
We proud ourselves on supplying the best possible seafood directly top the public. To add to this in 2015 we added a kitchen to our shop so that we can now provide this wonderful seafood cooked. you can either eat in our take away.

Awesome place! We shared the fisherman's basket with my sister (it was enough for the two of us) on the advice of one of the waitresses (really appreciate that she didn't try to make us buy two meals). It is quite cheap and everything was delicious! Really fresh fish, amazing staff. A few tables there if you want to eat on the spot, which is really nice.

I have been a customer here for many years. From when sales were made off the factory floor. I have never been provided with anything but the best of seafood. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. They boast their award for national best fish and chips. I must say that I have not ever had any of their cooked fish and chips. The prices are quite reasonable including Cray Fish (southern rock lobster), scallops and other high end seafood.

This had an advertisement saying "The best fish & chips in Australia 2017 voted by the people" (I think). So my family went to the restaurant and ordered some food. We thought it would be amazing food because of the advertisement but only the fish and some of the other seafood were really good. The chips were not that nice and the other side foods were not that good or average, so I rate this a 3/5 stars.

Awesome lunch today! My husband got his fish & chip fix- perfect batter And I had an amazing custom meal- gluten & lactose free no worries- SO yummy! Thank you Jade & Brendan :)

Our hosts recommend this place and I'm glad they did because the seafood is incredibly fresh. We had a dozen fresh oysters, grilled salmon and blue eyed grenadier with chips and salad and we were very happy with everything. The oysters in particular were super fresh. Definitely recommend it!
