Tasman Insurance took advantage of me when I was younger. 
I had no idea about insurance ombudsmen and my options, but they failed to process a claim for a vehicle that was stolen, based on the fact that I had speeding tickets "Traffic Infringements" that werent disclosed when asked for "Traffic Offences" which means DIC in NZ law anyway - so according to NZ law I hadnt non-disclosed anything. 
REGARDLESS - the fact that the vehicle was stolen & recovered had nothing to do with me having speeding tickets so it was immaterial. 
I went to their offices (Insurance Consultants) on Halsey St, and they were rude to me, and offered no assistance despite having paid them a lot of money to insure my small and growing company fleet.
