I purchased a rod and reel today. I'm very much an amatuer but felt totally welcomed and supported. Knowledgeable staff engaging with other more experienced anglers in store on stuff beyond my understanding, I felt that I received genuine advice and a got a decent price. Checking prices afterwards it was as good or better then any online price. So i will definitely go back, utilise their knowledge and purchase again.
Took my boys in for there after xmas shop, three rods, line and others. Three very happy people, and the staff were awesome.
Was so disappointed today as I always favour Tackleworld against its main competitor in each town I visit. There was an odd atmosphere today as if the boss and staff were disconnected. I wanted to buy a basic combo for my 3 year old grandson to catch some Redfin. $130 later I left feeling ripped off and embarrassed in front of family members. Limited knowledge and very limited interest apart from the young lad at the counter who was excellent. So unlike my experiences elsewhere. Will avoid this particular store in future but will stick with Tackleworld.
I have had cause to visit Canberra twice this year for extended stays and being your usual keen fisherman like to check out tackle stores. I have found Tackleworld best by far. They have a wide range of quality products and the service and advice from the staff is second to none. Their knowledge of places is readily shared and for this I was only to happy to purchase something to take home. Cheers Ant
Will only shop here for my future fishing needs. Tackle World had great prices and Rod/Rob sorry I forget which who looked after me was excellent and spent time making sure that my new rod was rigged up and gave great tips about targeting specific fish in and around Canberra. Will be back soon, thanks guys!
Lots of gear to choose from but, most importantly, they treated me like a normal person, not like a woman in what some Neanderthals think is a man's world I've had some tackle shop guys completely ignore me. Thanks Kooka for great service. Price isn't everything in getting customers to return.
The guys in the store are all incredibly knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. Great range and all of them that I have dealt with simply cannot do enough to help you out. There is no snobbery or arrogance about the advice they give unlike some stores. I completely recommend them for both novices and experts alike.
Ottos tackle world is the best by far for fishing tackle. The staff are very friendly and are always very helpful. You get what you pay for and if you want top of the range you've gotta pay the price. They are very easy to negotiate prices and that always gets me coming back
