I was sure I had left a review for this place already, but apparently not. This is the best sushi place in Sydney, let alone Chatswood - and I've been to a lot of them. Small and cozy with super friendly staff, and an inoffensive soundtrack playing in the background, quite often piano jazz. I eat here multiple times a week, and have been for years, from back when it used to just be called Sushi Train. Food is always fresh and delicious, and I've never had any bad experiences over all the years I've been coming here. A personal recommendation; order the Teriyaki scallops and also the Wagyu beef + mayo, some of the best tasting food I've ever had, and it's always consistent. 10/5

By far the best sushi train I’ve ever had, truly Japanese style in a cosy and easy-going place. High quality customer service and super nice sushi. The price is great as well!! Filled with local Japanese, so it worth to come if you’d enjoy Japanese culture. Would come back soon!!

We've been customers of Makota for years but aren't happy with the quality of the sushi so came to Sushi Kaido after reading the reviews. Pretty much all spot on. The sushi is fresh - larger portions than normal and good options for cooked small plates too (like croquette, karaage, etc.) Fresh wasabi and REAL miso soup. Yum. We will be back for sure. Our fave sushi place in the lower north shore.
