I'm a regular to this place and most of cashers used to be very nice in general. However, one of male cachers I met tonight was so rude and noticed that he was selective to say hello.. he ignored me completely and he said hello to my husband only... I cannot believe that he overlooked me totally while I told him 'hi' loudly enough.. I realised that he said to hi to whites customers only... hope he can better behave next time.

This has been my go-to shopping place for 25 years since it was called Stammers.nnEven bow I still go there sometimes because this IGA has always had good fresh quality produces and items that you don't usually see at other grocery stores.nnThe store has always been maintained cleaned and welcoming.

We are regular customers of IGA Winthrop for over 20 years and over the last few months have been disappointed with the lack of customer service especially on weekends when junior staff are rostered on the checkouts and floor. I asked today to see the Manager as the staff didn’t know what I was talking about when asked if they had any Darrell Lea Fathers Day bags. The Manager who  was in his early 20’s had no idea either. I showed a photo from the catalog and  on the website and still he has no idea what I was referring to. It took a mature women who was working in the meat isle to intervene and explained IGA had them displayed at the front of the store last week but were all sold out. This person worked weekends only. The so called Managers need to be better informed or take an interest in what new products are being promoted in the stores, or don’t roster inexperienced staff on weekends.

For over 27 years we have been regular customers at Winthrop Village Shopping Centre. What started as Stammers  is now IGA.nRoll on early 2020's, under new ownership and a recent store renovation, Winthrop IGA has become 2nd to none offering top quality produce. So lucky to have them as my local supermarket!

Loved the display of great food and the place is clean The deli department looked great and if I wanted something sliced up there wasn’t a problem
