The hostel has a really welcoming atmosphere at first glance, and the location is actually quite convenient — close to shops, public transport, and a few nice cafés. The common areas also make it pretty easy to meet new people, especially in the evenings.nnHowever, there are several issues that really affected our stay. The lockers in the rooms are far too small, so it’s impossible to store all your belongings properly. We placed some of our things neatly in bags on the side of the room, but the staff pushed them under the beds in a careless way, even with their feet. That felt very disrespectful. The kitchen is small, constantly crowded, and often dirty. On top of that, we had a balcony attached to our room but weren’t even allowed to use it, which was extremely disappointing.nnStill, I want to mention that the reception staff were genuinely friendly and always tried to help whenever they could. The social vibe is great if you want to meet other travelers, and the common events in the evenings were fun and well-organized. With a few improvements, this hostel could actually become a much better place to stay.
Great hostel in a good location close to the beach and with a lot of restaurants & bars nearby.nThe dorm was clean and it is also nice to hang out in the social areas, very easy to meet people! They offer daily events as well!nLoved my stay here and will come back for sure
Accommodation, facilities and cleanliness were great. It’s a shame that the customer service by the reception team, specifically Marie, DOES NOT match the good experience that a guest can have.nAfter booking for one night and experiencing the facilities I wanted to extend my stay for another week and even longer after that. I was already staying for one night, instead of working together to ensure I could stay. I was only hit with policy. My request was not outrageous. I wanted to reserve for a week. Pay a deposit and pay the full amount the next day. But THIS WAS NOT POSSIBLE according to Marie.nInstead. I ended up booking elsewhere for a week.nI don’t think that a business would be happy knowing that not only a guest spent their money elsewhere but they have also lost future business.nWIFI kept dropping and was very slow. Hot water in the showers was more like a warm to cold shower which was quite unpleasant in the morning.
I had such a great stay at this hostel in Melbourne! They offer both dorms and private rooms and I booked a private room. It was super clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced. The location is excellent close to the beach and easy to get around.nnThe staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. The hostel also has a nice kitchen, laundry facilities and a great common area on the top floor where you can relax or meet other travelers.nnOverall, it’s a fantastic place to stay. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Melbourne!
Had an awesome time staying here. Everyone was warm and welcoming and we met loads of peoplennGreat location close to the beach, rooms were cleaned daily and all the facilities were spotlessnnBar has loads of different stuff on during the week - quiz night/steak night was fantastic for the price and good fun, and the roast on the Sunday
