I had a great stay at this hostel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with anything I needed. The rooms were clean, the facilities were well looked after, and the atmosphere made it easy to meet other travelers. The location was also really convenient, with everything I needed close by. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely recommend staying here. Thanks for making my trip even better!
Beautiful hostel in the heart of St. Kilda. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable - all come with their own en-suite bathroom. The hostel also has a roof terrace with stunning views over the city and a pub downstairs with lots of fun things on every night! Would definitely come and stay here again.
This is an amazing hostel. It has everything you would want - lively bar, stunning roof top, friendly and approachable staff, lovely guests, modern en-suite rooms and an amazing location! I have been in all of the hostels in St Kilda and some in the CBD and none come close to Summer House - the vibes here are unmatched. If you are coming to Melbourne, Summer House is a must stay - you will have a fantastic time.
Very good spacious dorm that feels like rooms. Effectively, some of the dorms have a few rooms to spread the beds. You have plenty of space, a good discount on the bar downstairs and access to a kitchen, a rooftop, etc...nNow unfortunately I'm not going to give a five stars because there is a real lack of cleaning. The rooms weren't clean every day, I once had to ask for them because they didn't wash the room in 2 days, and even after my complains, I had to ask again the day after for them to wash it... We also had to change room because of a bedbugs risk, it's not their fault and they immediately changed us to a new room and took care of the problem.
TheSummer House Hostel was one of the best hostel experiences I've had. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, beds comfortable, and the common areas made it so easy to connect with other travelers. Especially the Kitchen. The staff went above and beyond, always smiling, full of great local tips, and genuinely happy to help. The location is perfect for relaxing at the beach or to drive in the city under 30min by train. If you want a place that feels like home but with a social, fun energy, this is it. I highly recommend!
