Built in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s the station opened in February 1992 along with most of the Joondalup line this is station is the only one on the network to have an old Transperth info point! The station is also the most famous transperth station due to a video on the internet of a man getting stuck between the train and platform 1 the video has over 7 million views as of writing this which is more than 3 times the population of Perth. The station in late 2024 will be getting a new bus bridge upgrading the bus stands from 18 to 30 stands
Great train station like all around Perth. Jump on the ride and experience the joy.
while awaiting your train you can expect to find mammoth prices for only the most limited and god awful selection of monster energy drinks. Don’t be overly alarmed if you find yourself face to face with a rodent of some description. If you’re looking to find a $7.50 vanilla ice up & go then this is the place for you. Quick wait for the train and adamant entertainment.
I am so impressed with staff at Stirling train station especially on 22/4/2021 at 4.30om. I have no sight in right eyenVery low vision in left also have chronic pain and walk with a walker. I was on my way back from a long day in Mandurah after visiting my 95 year old aunt. I don’t usually get off at Stirling but a friend kindly offered to pick me up. She gave me these complicated instructions where to meet and I was so lost and confused. A lady who works for the station saw me and asked if I needed help she then walked me all the way down to the road and took me across the lights to the car park. I have never been to genuinely grateful. I wish I had got her name but she said she drives the bus and then helps wherever she’s needed. I really hope she gets to see this and be recognised for her kindness. She was a sweet angel and I again am so grateful Thankyou so much.
Transperth have mask mandate and I forgot to carry my mask. So I went to Stirling rail kiosk to buy a mask and this is what she gave me for $3.50. This mask is just a showpiece with no any layer of filter at all. This is a shameful. If you are charging high price for something then atleast provide something that is worth to buy. Using a mask just like a gate pass is unethical.
