A pretty nice train station. Quiet, and the place to get off to go to great shopping in Watertown, an epic cafe Gordon St Garage, and the Department of Transport. It is very clean and has bright beautiful floral bushes on each side, making for an easy place to wait. The bike path to Fremantle is right Patel to this station so if you wanted to ride part way and train partway you could easily do so. The park near by is enchanting and the walk to Watertown takes a whopping 5 min from this station. It’s a good place to get off at, there’s lots to do and a chill stay.
Really nice train station. They have now put screen displays showing the next train. It is also right next to Scitech, which I would recommend taking the train to city west and then walking a short distance to Scitech if your going there
The original City west station opened as North Perth in 1883, in 1890 the station was renamed to west Perth The station closed on the 1st of September 1979 along with the rest of the Fremantle line it re opened in July 1983. The station was then rebuilt and opened in June 1986 at a new location. It was renamed to city west in November 1987
Waited and waited. Train running over 20 minutes late at 9am on Monday morning and no notice. Then express straight past us, then another 10 min wait. Completely appalling. Now everyone on the platform is late...nNo warnings, sort it out transperth!!nUnacceptable
