I've always have a soft spot for film houses and when I was in Hobart, I made sure to watch at the State Cinema. There were a lot of independent films being shown here on the daily and I was lucky enough to watch The Eight Mountains. The price was fair for the experience. There were lots of food, coffee, drink options that you can purchase at their cafe and bring in with you. There's also a popular bookstore in the building. Definitely a must try experience when you are in North Hobart :
Ive always loved this place, the staff are very friendly and the food is quite good. There's free parking close and handy.nGreat movie choices and great atmosphere, with wheel chair access.
Friendly staff, plenty of room, and quite cosy too actually! Good selection of food/drinks as well.
It has relatively small seating and screens. But the condition of the seats are better and well maintained. They also have wide range and various movie playing throughout the day. They have parking space available from Strahan street. The cafe was very cozy with limited but quality items with great prices.
Went to watch gladiator with half of Hobart and the aircon wasn’t on the entire film. At least charge less than $30 if you’re gonna keep your electricity costs down…
