I can not recommend this place highly enough. It is so refreshing to visit a good old fashioned cinema with good old fashioned customer service. Loved it.

Very exciting to finally have an arthouse cinema in Launceston. Comfortable, well stepped seating upstairs and ample room downstairs for those unable to take the stairs. Some spill over noise from cafe can be heard upstairs but early days (there may be doors coming). Art deco features delightful, very atmospheric. I hope to get back soon. Well done to all involved with the refurbishment - long live the Star!

Totally enjoyed myself as did the people i went with. How ever i did notice with theatre seats upstairs there was quite a few struggling to venture up the stairs and with the toilets down stairs it may put people off. I know there is relaxed seating in the ground level but not everyone would be into that. Perhaps a lift and toilets up would be a future add to a marvellous building. I loved the idea of a bite to eat and a alcoholic drink if one wished to partake. A suggestion themed nights. Ie. Rocky horror . Grease. Star wars. Star trek. Stars of the silver screen. Even Children dressup movie days. The list is endless. Everyone was very friendly. Every thing was clean. Will definately be attending again. Well done wveryone
