A fully self service Laundromat with ample washing machines and Dryers. All the machines are very clean and new. The machines are very easy to use. You can pay from both card and cash. Notes to Coin converter is available at the laundromat. There is a phone charging terminal as well.
It takes a while to work out how to set up the payment but once that’s done it’s pretty good. Please could you fix the door handle on the door? You can’t close the door and it is very cold sitting waiting with a freezing draft coming through the door.
I have never used a laundromat before but was told to visit Star by a friend and have now found the answer to the nightmare of winter and washing. Star L is clean, easy to use and has the latest in industrial washing machines and dryers. Also, I needed to open the dryer as I had doubled up on the time - used the number on the sign to call if necessary and a lovely lady answered immediately and not only helped me with my issue but paid a refund for my mistake. Love it at Star Laundromat 5 stars
On arrival all the washing machines except one small one were in use or were full of washed laundry but no other customers were in attendance. I discovered later that the machines were being used unattended by a local business whose own washing machines were out of operation. After loading part of my laundry into the vacant machine and waiting in vain for the owner of the other loads to appear, another customer arrived with her small load. We discussed the lack of capacity, the absence of people attending the other machines and her own needs we decided to empty the finished laundry belonging to the mystery business. This is plainly rude, but it is also rude for a mystery business to leave finished washing unattended. Some communication rules should apply to anyone using the machines so that new customers are not prevented from operating them. Another customer arrived later, put their load in and again left the premises. In the meantime the machine began to leak water onto the floor. Since no one came back for quite a while I phoned the number to report a fault. It was hard to hear the Star Laundromat representative. I was asked to stop the machine and adjust the contents. The fault was fixed. I really don’t think that is my responsibility. It is clear that using the machines during office hours is not a good idea.
Great facilities kept clean and easy to use. Lots of large machines which really help when you have lots of washing to get through. The washers washed well and the dryer dried everything in the time! Place was clean and well lit. Really like that I can pay via the app and detergent is automatically dispensed.
Extremely clean, change dispenser and phone chargers also provided while you wait for your linens..very thoughtful!
I’ve been going to this laundromat for just over a month now. It’s the cleanest laundromat I’ve ever been too, rarely any mess. The machines are always clean and I really appreciate being able to connect to the machines via the app. They aren’t 24 hrs. But they only close for 7 hrs over night. It’s a nice place to just sit and wait for your clothes to finish as well, there are shops near by and lots of natural light. Highly recommend. The site says that detergent is added and that’s the only downfall, if there is any detergent added it’s not much, so I recommend bringing your own.
I claimed dryer problem by phone she was very kind and helped quickly.
All seemed clean and in good repair. Prices were reasonable. Four seats, so if there are three of you there, you'll be sitting next to someone.
Always cleand and tidy. The best thing is you don't have to search for sofa corners snd car seat to pinch coins, just top up your credit card and select the machine.
