Lovely cabin, clean and well maintained however the bathrooms are quite small and would quite often hit your elbow on the wall and shower when going to the toilet (and I am a slender woman). But other than that a nice place to stop. Didn't use the campground facilities however

Disappointed. For such a beautiful place and a reasonable park set up it was a major let down to get down there and find out that they charge $8 on top for extras no matter the age, although the website said differently, they do state prices are subject to change but fail to inform you of these changes on booking or when they call to check the booking. It was a bit of a sting for larger family's who paid over $50 a night for unpowered sites. They also do not permit fires, which in its self is pretty common in parks, but again there was nothing on the website and they did not inform upon booking. Walking around the park several groups were disappointed with having dragged pots and wood down to only find they could use them, because the park believe it promotes bad behavior. I've been around tassie to a lot of parks and this one is definitely a disappointment, mainly due to what I believe in unreasonable rules and pricing, probable because there in no competition. In summary stanley is beautiful place and the caravan park is nice but I personally am not a fan of how the park is operated.

Good location, good value. Really nice amenities and well equipped kitchen. Too posh for a real backpacker, though.

Beautiful spot. Family friendly. Cabins available or spots to pull up your camper.
