Absolutely Beautiful spot. We stayed right near the shore in our caravan. Facilities were excellent and very clean. Staff are amazing and went above and beyond to help us out when we were away from our side and our annex started blow over. They phoned us and when we got back found that they put star pickets in and taped up what had ripped So that no more damage was done. Nothing was too much trouble from all of the personnel at This site. Took the chairlift up to the top of the nut And did the 2 km walk?. Views were absolutely amazing. We were delighted to see the little penguins clamber up the steps at night to go back to their nests Just near our caravan.
This suited our needs. It was a place to lay our heads for a night and different scenery before our ferry trip home. I would definitely think about coming back to Stanley and this accommodation. It's a beautiful park in a beautiful part of Tasmania.nnThe beds were so comfortable. The slightly unusual configuration of the cabin worked exceptionally well for us. Allowing us our spaces for mid afternoon naps and reading.nnI want to thank the lovely woman in reception sorry I didn't get your name for offering us a new cabin after we discovered some issues with our lighting and giving us a second milk.nnThe penguins coming in was a bit of a surprise it shouldn't have been but we really enjoyed it. We went out and spotted for a while, I got a picture of a demonic penguin.
Out of our 2.5 week trip around Tassie, this was by far the best caravan park we stayed at. We got a water view cabin and it was absolutely gorgeous, the view was amazing! Beautiful location, with a great view of the nut. Amenities were superb and very clean - as well as a games room for kiddies we don’t have kids but we had a play of air hockey while waiting for our washing! at night time there was penguins waddling around the site which was amazing! Couldn’t fault this big4 at all! Will definitely be back when we come on another Tassie tour!
Highly recommend this park location. Right under the Nut, you can walk everywhere. The cabins have everything you need.nYou can also walk into town and to all of the restaurants and cafes.nThe staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful. We had left medication at our last hotel in Devonport and Anita and Liz arranged for it to be collected and delivered to us. Saving us a 3hr trip. So thoughtful. We will be back.
Stanley was fantastic! From the lovely ladies in the office to our Cabin which was spacious, clean and well appointed.nWe were there in October so not many shops in town were open, only the Post Office, Pub which is pricey for a Bistro, and a few coffee shops, Hursey Seafood a must do nHubby & I fell in love with Stanley & it is in our top 3 for our retirement nStanley Big4 & Stanley it's self are perfect in everyway
