Kaydale Lodge Gardens are truly magnificent and very well worth a visit. The gardens have some amazing and often rare plant species set out across a spectacular 3 hectares. The rockerie gardens are some of the best I've seen, full of colour and great variety. The raked Zen garden is peaceful and contemplative. The quite stillness is beautiful as you ponder the bonsai that adorn this space. Kaydale has a spectacular array of peony roses, some that are rarely seen these days. The peonies may be ordered and purchased and can be delivered on the NW coast and to Launceston. The vegetable gardens are awesome and inspiring. I would highly recommend a visit to Kaysdale Lodge Gardens. They are spectacular and possibly one of the best gardens to see in Tasmania...no matter what the season. I think these gardens represent a great labour of love from the two generations of family that have nurtured them into being.

A nice stop off place after the canyon walk to enjoy lunch / afternoon tea or visit the gardens or both. Good home cooking. Tasty soup, homemade bread followed by homemade blueberry muffins from the garden. Friendly owners and local information. Also does B&B.
