Recognised as the leading private hospital in the Barwon and South-Western region of Victoria, St John of God Geelong Hospital was established in 1974. Located 75 km south west of Melbourne, the hospital provides services for the city of Geelong and rural Victoria.

The hospital has now expanded to 250 beds and provides a range of services including an emergency department, day surgery, medical, surgical and maternity services, along with a 24 hour critical care unit and Cath Lab services in a modern and contemporary environment.

Onsite diagnostic and support services include medical imaging, pathology, medical consulting suites and a pharmacy.

This past wknd I went to ED due to pain, as soon as I arrived the staff/ team were incredible. Focused and attentive throughout.nI then stayed in 3 East for a few days on the ward and the same level of care continued-  staff went above to ensure I was a priority!nThe Dr  Dr Josh Lin was focused on holistic care ensuring even when I was on the ward I was supported and felt heard by him with a clear plan moving forward even after d/c. Exceptional care by all

Had my baby at SJOG last week and cannot thank the maternity and theatre staff enough. Everyone was very friendly, kind and knowledgeable. Also a big thank you to the kitchen staff, the food was amazing! I had intentions of ordering sushi etc from local restaurants after birth but didn't because the hospital food was so delicious. Thank you!

To Lucy,  Nikki , Ella, Casey & Carolyn at Ward 2 south. Thank you all so much for the amazing care you gave to me. Greatly appreciated.  Beautiful young people that really take pride caring for the sick. This hospital is lucky to have you all.

Went to ED here on Mon 29 Dec with a mate who had badly injured his foot competing in an ocean swim event. The service from all was really good - quick to admit, triage, adminster pain meds, image etc. Special shout out to Bianca who was excellent. Thanks to her dogged persistence on the phone Bianca was able to arrange an action plan for surgery much closer to home. And as it turns with an ortho surgeon well experienced in the required speciality.  TVM!

Every time I have been into either surgery or emergency the care and professionalism is always 5 star.nAll I have encountered in many visits have been so caring and aware of my needs, always ensuring me that each step was covered and timing has always been prompt. Never rushed, and always so tougher. The team are impeccable , just one of the specialists left me disappointed but that was not ST JOHNS, it was his personal approach and attitude. . I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!nDarren GRAYSON.
