I really loved the atmosphere here. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. We had the lamb kebab and the chili scrambled eggs. I enjoyed the kebab and its cute presentation, though I wished it had a bit more sauce or pickles. The chili scrambled eggs were the first I had in Australia, and they looked quite different from other places. Unfortunately, my first bite was very salty — maybe that part had a lot of nduja — and overall, it was pretty mediocre. The coffee was good. I’m still willing to come back for another coffee time
The food preparation and presentation were bold. And it comes with the “small bottle of fiery goodness”. Steak tartare was good. Lamb kebab was a mess. Avo toast was a unique experience. Turkish egg was ordinary. Love the cappucino. Was there on a Sunday and the weekend surcharge was a hefty 13%
Stopped by to grab a coffee and pick up some beans and I’m genuinely impressed. The quality of the beans is exceptional. I’d confidently rank them among the best I’ve had in Melbourne.nnThe takeaway cups are adorable, adding a nice touch to the experience.nnI also really appreciated the customer service - staff were accommodating and happy to honour the discounted price I found on their website, no questions asked. Super convenient and hassle-free.nnHighly recommend!
Braving 3 degrees Celsius in the wee morning, walking from South Wharf to dine in this popular Melbourne cafe.nAlways reserve your seat we always do as the place was full at 7.30 am!nGreat, cosy but cold cafe despite the heaters on the roof.nOrdered the scrambled eggs on toast with bacons and the chilli scrambled eggs. The scrambled eggs were shaped into the tornado style, well cooked, but it could use a bit of salt as it was a bit bland.nCoffees were standard averaged Melb coffee.
We dropped by this café on our last day in Melbourne without expecting much, but it turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip. The staff were genuinely friendly, and the cozy, charming vibe of the place made it even better.nI had a milk coffee, which had a rich coffee aroma and flavor. While the milk wasn’t as smooth as I’d hoped, I could still taste the essence of the coffee, which I really appreciated. The long black was a standout a nice touch of acidity with deep, aromatic notes that exceeded my expectations.nIf the milk had been just a bit creamier, it would’ve been perfect. Still, I was more than satisfied and would definitely come back.
