Come here Saturday morning because my daughter need coffee pods. We decided to get coffee and couples croissant very simple fast and go back on the road finished up the Saturday rounds. Croissant was nice and fresh my daughter love the special drink sorry don’t remember the name, my wife and I got couples coffee, worth the $7.5 each? Sorry not for us unfortunately coffee was milky very little taste of coffee and for the price you pay for it should be amazing, if I going back again? Certainly not just buy the pods and see you later. Have to say great customer service.
Awesome staff, great food and drinks! We stopped in this restaurant and walked out happy, the food was super and the coffee tasting was very informative and suburb. They also sell coffee mugs /cups and other items , we got the chilli oil that we liked to take back to the states as a tasty souvenir
I already knew the coffee brand, but I had never actually visited the café itself!nnI went last Sunday and ordered the Biscoff Frappe, which was absolutely delicious. It wasn’t overly sweet, and my only thought was, “I wish it were bigger!” because it was that good.nnFor my meal, I ordered the Avocado on Crumpet. Honestly, it was very tasty, but I was expecting the crumpets to be served warm. The dish is actually cold, and I wasn’t aware of that. The eggs mixed into the avocado seem to be intentionally chilled, almost like a mayonnaise-style egg mixture. Overall, it was enjoyable, but I was really looking forward to something warm and comforting.nnWe also ordered the USA Pancake, and that completely made up for my slight disappointment with the avocado dish. The pancake was simply perfect, soft and fluffy on the inside with a light crispy layer on the outside. I can honestly say it has become my favourite pancake so far!nnI’m giving it 4.5 stars because there wasn’t any note on the menu indicating that the Avocado on Crumpet is served cold. If I had known that beforehand, I probably would have ordered something different. Aside from that, the food was delicious, the coffee was great, and I’d definitely come back to try more dishes.
This might be one of the best coffee shops to try in Melbourne! Tried one of their signature drinks and also the batch brew. Forgot which one we ordered shown in the photos, but that one tastes absolutely phenomenal. The coffee and the cream pairs really well, the cream on top elevates the texture, and overall it is well balanced and it is not too heavy and not too sweet. Definitely recommend trying this one! The batch brew also tastes ok, as it has nice flavours.nnAs for the service, the hospitality is top notch. The staff are very friendly and explains the menu items well. The place has lots of seatings to choose from. It has indoors and outdoors as well. Overall, this is a great place and highly recommend to visit here when coming to Melbourne!
Consistency over the years is what keeps us coming back over the years whenever we are in Melbourne. My partner also now orders their coffee beans online for the machine at home!nnLove the fit out and staff uniforms at South Melbourne - a bit grungy and eclectic. Staff are friendly and energetic despite the early morning hour.nnThere is usually space and no waiting on the weekdays for breakfast.nnThe food is really good - the pancake looks and sounds simple but is delicious, moist and fluffy on the inside. The breakfast hummus is light enough but flavoursome with the pesto, curry leaves, chilli oil and crunchy chickpeas giving texture too.nnParts of the menu changes seasonally so we’ll bound to try something different next time.nnGreat value kids options is so appreciated! Simple but it’s what they want.nnCoffee is next level with choice and passion here. Something for everyone.
