Moving down on the 4-carriage train to Sydney Central Station. It's still cool in late August but soon spring will get to us, and with welcome they will be received. The station is Heritage with a few add ons. The square wood pillars on the platform are classic and solid, the paint is authentic. The arrival and departure platforms present the arc in shape so take care, i.e., MIND THE GAP, an English performance in honour of the tremendous respect it holds. Sydney takes 1 hour and 34 minutes to reach, but not at all stops after reaching the plain Emu.
Travelling to Katoomba on 2 Jan 2023 and the rail network is not working, a rail replacement buses are in place to take you to Katoomba. Express Coaches and all station buses are available for those traveling in between Springwood and Katoomba. Staff are efficient and ride is smooth.
It's a nice train station, very open, has art and information about trains there, the screens are very informative and more than one of them too.nThe small deduction of a star is due to some misunderstanding by some station employees, a train pulled into platform and the station employees yelled all stations to Katoomba, and I didn't budge cause I'm waiting for my train and it says limited stops on the screen as this train was to make up for a delayed one, he assured me it goes to my stop, few stops later and I am 3 stations last my intended stop
5 stars for the friendly station staff. I left something on the platform when boarding the train, and they kept it safe until I returned in the afternoon. A big Thanks to the staff yesterday!
