My hometown, people here are freindly, plenty places to go bush walking, golfing, bird watching, site seeing, shopping. Swimming in some of the waterfalls. Nice fresh air and weather, spring summer are my favourite but winter always a toss-up if rain, snow, drizzle or sun
Freezing but beautiful. A lovely place for a day out or weekend away and the railway station is so handy to it all.
Katoomba completely blew me away. The town feels cozy and peaceful, yet it’s surrounded by some of the most breathtaking natural beauty I’ve ever seen. The Blue Mountains look unreal in person, especially the Three Sisters lookout and Echo Point. The views are endless, the air is so fresh, and everywhere you go feels picture-perfect.nnOne of the best parts is how easy it is to get there — you can take a comfortable train straight from Sydney to Katoomba, and the ride itself is beautiful and relaxing.nnThe town has great cafés, cute shops, and incredibly friendly people. Scenic World is a must—those skyways, walks, and viewpoints give you memories you’ll never forget. It’s the perfect getaway for families, couples, or anyone who wants to unwind and enjoy nature.nnHighly recommend spending a few days here. I would 100% come back. Katoomba is a gem!
On a freezing ,rainy, afternoon,we were pleased to find out favourite Coles Seed bread,still available so late in the day....
Beautiful railway station on the Blue Mountains line. Has booking office, toilets and a very well heated waiting room. The old signal box is still in place on the platform while the goods shed and crane are intact and visible from the platform. Quite picturesque!
