Blue Mountains Explorer Bus

Money well spent. The bus takes you all around the charming town that borders all of the beautiful walks and sights. The guides in the office will give you a map and can give you general information about how you might want to plan your day. There are two busses that come to each stop every thirty minutes. As you ride the bus the driver gives you information about each of the walks that you can take at each stop. They are very friendly and helpful so don't hesitate to ask any questions. Wonderful trip.

Over hiped bus service. Only attraction in blue mountain is scenic world. Which can be reached from katoomba by 686 bus.out of 29 stops of explorer bus 21-22 are useless and cannot be achieved in a single day if you are planning to spend enough time in scenic world.

Using the Explorer Bus was the highlight of our family holiday in Katoomba. The 6 of us (2 from each generation) had a great time getting to know all the drivers, who were all SO helpful and friendly. We all enjoy walking, and to be able to take the bus, get off, and hike to another pick-up spot was a great bonus. The every half-hour frequency removed a lot of the pressure. The guide book (that forms your ticket) was unusually helpful, and, if you're here for a week, you could almost get your ticket price back with the discounts ot gives.
