The staff member who served me was patient, knowledgeable and personable. He went to a great deal of trouble to get the right part I required. Great selection of tools and fasteners. Plenty of parking, despite the unending stream of tradies entering and leaving. I recommend Specfast most highly.
The blokes at ACT Specfast have great customer service focus and knowledge of the gear they sell and applications.
Joel and his team really know their stuff. I know to be patient as he tracks down, amongst what must be, millions of speciality fastenings, exactly the right solution for one's job. COVID safe, polite, and above all knowledgeable, I go there when in need of just the right thing, and am never disappointed.
They always have the right stuff with bolts, screws and today I noticed lots of tools for all kinds of jobs. Today is the 1st time I have bought stuff from them because I didn't work for years due to a knee injury.
Went in last week to purchase some high tensile bolts. Clint who helped me was absolutely fantastic. Clint was friendly, polite and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend Speciality Fasteners.
I wanted a simple item to lock up my bike. The chap who served me didn't question my clear instructions and was vague. He left to make the reqested item and I was concerned that it would be made wrongly. I expressed my concern to another employee. He screwed up his face and walked away. My item came back. Not only was it wrong but badly made. A supervisor agreed that it should be redone. It was good the second time though shorter. My experience at this store was unpleasant and the service was poor. Women - if you need something made and can get it somewhere else, do so.
I've been here a few times now, and as an ex-tradie, have been impressed with the range and quality of items. However, the counter service staff are flat out grumpy; constantly! We all have bad days; my advice is to take a deep breath and keep your poor attitude to yourself.
Excellent service and incredibly helpful and friendly staffs. I was recommended here to get some imperial UNC screws for my astrophotography equipment and found them in store. FYI their website doesn't list everything they have.
Excellent service, even for a small, obscure sale. I had been looking online for bearings for the rear hub of my bicycle. For some strange reason the designers of the hub chose one ISO/DIN/JIS bearing, which can be found just about anywhere, and one ABEC standard, which is almost impossible to find. The salesman searched for cross-references to find a match. "How many would you like?" More than happy to hear that I only wanted one of each. And both were NTN bearings... nice! And as cheap as online.
Busy shop. Huge range of hard-to-get fasteners in stock. Obviously you don't want to stuff them around too much, but their willingness to sell small quantities is an absolute blessing for one-off repair and maintenance tasks.
