My beautiful dog Crayon was diagnosed with terminal cancer at SASH and their advice and empathetic care meant the world to me. Whilst we tried everything possible to prolong our time with Crayon, his cancer was too aggressive and sadly it was kinder to have him go to sleep forever than to continue to suffer. Our oncologist Johanna was patient with Crayon at every appointment, and for a dog that was aggressive and untrusting of most people, he was happy to be around her and the other fantastic team at SASH. When it was time for him to go to sleep, Johanna came in on her day off so he could be surrounded by people he loved at the end which was of a great comfort - an act of kindness which I will remember for the rest of my life, it truly touched my heart. The care received after his passing was also beautiful; a gorgeous book of remembrance with lovely messages from the team and some of Crayon's fur and paw prints - an above and beyond gesture. Cancer is a horrible disease for both people and animal alike and whilst a difficult journey, our family felt like we were in the best of care at SASH and that Crayon wasn't just another dog - he was a member of our family. Thank you to all at SASH and especially Johanna - your care meant the world to us.

My puppy had a bad fall - not helping that it's a great dane already around 50 kilo - puppy yelping & crying, not moving, for several minutes... not looking good... we jump in the car, rush to sash... its 2am... Pup was seen by Max and Hana (or Anna, apologies...) - got immediate attention, assessed - and thankfully cleared of broken bones or dislocated joints... 24/7 vet emergency is just fantastic to have when u need it. Very very happy with the attention he got. {emergency hospitals for humans could take a note or two}.

The staff at SASH have been so kind and supportive throughout a tough time for our family. They have listened to all our worries and concerns and left us reassured that our cat is in the best care possible. Can't thank these beautiful people enough for taking care of our fur baby

Update. Our girl past a year ago, and now have decided to rescue another. We went there at 2am in the morning due to small accident of our puppy jumping up. So rushed him there spoke to a veterinarian called Max and gave us the all clear. Couldn't be happier with Max warm nature to our needs and worries They did look after my dog, while she was there. But what they wanted to do in surgery by removing her shoulder blade and the cost of it was out of this world. they also told us if we didn't she would only have 3 months to live. i would of done everything and anything for my girl but to be pushed like a salesman I couldn't do it. Well writing this review she is still with us. and it has been 2 and half years. and she still has all four legs. not 3.

They know their stuff. In emergency and in specialist care this is the go to place in Sydney. They have brilliant clinical support for immediate care and followup, eg for neurological problems they have an MRI on site. They get back to you if any ongoing issues arise and we found they can give advice on the phone, which is of help with our dog who suffers from seizures. We find their location is central in Sydney. Yes it's some distance away but they are near the M2 and Lane Cove Tunnel. We went to some other Emergency and Specialty Centers but this unit eclipses them in expertise and care. They are not set up as a regular Vet, we have a good Vet for straight forward care and issues, but for any specialist or tricky problems, this is the place to go to.
