Had a wonderful stay at Silkari with my family. Felt like a home away from home. The warm and welcoming staff, Jackie, Susan, Markus, Jay and Leon & Helen.nA great start to the day with a free tea and conversation. Great restaurant recommendations. Very handy having underground parking and located well to explore all that Chatswood has to offer. The apartments are spacious and well equipped. Thank you!
It’s a short walk from the Chatswood station. There are multiple food and drink options nearby. The premises are very clean and well maintained. It’s close to a residential area and I was able to go for nice morning walks. Some cafes are open early morning for a coffee or breakfast as Silkari doesn’t offer breakfast. They do offer free coffee in the mornings.nOverall a pleasant experience and I would stay here again.
A Generous Serving of Comfort in the Heart of ChatswoodnSilkari Suites Chatswood delivers a well-balanced experience, offering modern, clean, and comfortable accommodation right in the centre of Chatswood. The location is exceptionally convenient—situated next to the library and directly across from Chatswood Chase—making it easy to step out and explore. Reception is staffed by friendly, welcoming team members who set the tone from arrival, while mornings are sweetened by a coffee cart serving complimentary coffee, and on my most recent stay, freshly baked banana bread. Guests with breakfast included receive vouchers redeemable at Café Markus and, as of March 2026, Black & White Espresso just across the road. Rounding out the experience, the rooms are generously sized and well equipped, ensuring a comfortable and satisfying stay.
I would normally leave 5 stars for the one thing I enjoy of an experience to share our joy with others when travelling. Unfortunately, this review is not one of those and I share it to caution others, to hopefully avoid what happened to us recently as we had no visbility of the problems until we had arrived and unable to find an alternative last minute.nnFrom the images and video, you can see the room was not in a good condition with the lower part of the wall stripped from water damage and this is bedroom facing. When we spoke to staff that this is not what you would expect for paying upwards of $200, they can see the 'issue' but also indicated it's not really an issue. They also had a spare room but it's a different room type and they cannot swap us due to the 'system'. We asked to speak to management but they were not available. It was late night so rather than go through the hassle as we value our time than to problem solve, we just went through with it. Apart from this wall issue and the rusted shower head that wasn't properly maintained, the rest of the apartment was fine.nnYou may want to avoid this place for a while until the repairs are done unless you are happy to part with $200+ a night to live in a place that looks damaged and under repair. Staff apologised but there was absolutely nothing they can do about it. It's completely acceptable from their viewpoint to not let guests know of the issue when paying for a room.nnThere are better places to choose from nearby, check it out if you can, don't get trapped like we did. Staff will just tell you they have nothing they can do, even if there is a spare room but...they can't swap you for the night for reasons they cannot control and name that the 'system'.nnThis was our first and last Silkari experience. Good luck with your journey, it may not be like ours over time, but good to know what you are paying for.
We had a really great stay at Silkari suites. The room was spacious and there's a small kitchen and washer/dryer combo that is available for use. I had forgotten an important item at the hotel and they were able to find it and ship it back to me at a cost, but was more than happy to pay!. Their customer service is outstanding, the complimentary coffee served in the morning is absolutely beautiful. I recommend Silkari suites if you are staying more than 3 nights in Sydney, especially Chatswood. Lots of food options around and super close to the train!
