This school has some great staff who are absolutely awesome and try their hardest and most definitely deserve a raise for how much they support students, but their of course are horriable teachers. we had a great principal Ms Jensen who ACTUALLY listened to the students, but as of recent a new principal has been brought on, Ms Herbert. Ms Herbert has completely changed everything that Ms Jensen put in place. Where Ms Jensen had made some more lenient rules regarding uniform shoes, piercings, jewellery and hair colour that actually aloud students to express themselves, Ms Herbert has entirely gotten rid of. She started a ban on all jewellery bracelets, rings, necklaces etc shes explained that the reasons are for 'work place health and safety' as well as she wants to improve the representation of the school which she explain through a new acronym 'wuuba', where 'w' and 'u' stand for, wellbeing and uniform. where she aims for everyones wellbeing to be a 100%. well i can tell you one thing, almost every students wellbeing at the moment is 50% or less, with these new rules being put in place. Especially when students are being harassed about the sizes of their earing referring to students with sleepers being slightly larger to fit an average pen/ pencil through. To be completely honest these new rules are absolutely ridiculous, and makes students focus and stress MORE about their uniform and whether or not they're going to have to hand in their personal belongings to admin and risk detentions and further punishment RATHER then focusing on their learning. I personally feel sorry for the nice and more chill teachers who are being forced to adhere to this new rules by the current admin as their reputation with students have started to rapidly decline as they are forced to be more strict. On behalf of SPSHS, we respectfully ask Ms Herbert and the P&C to rethink and revise these harsh new rules, and to listen more to the students, as Ms Jensen once did as they are in fact limiting students from expressing themselves, as well as effecting many students wellbeing, both mentally and physically. Respectfully a very upset student Anonymous.
A great school with caring staff
Very bad teachers that live in a homeless shelter they give bad administation very bad staff this is the reason why every parent sends there kids to John Paul college even if there not cristian
This was a good school the teachers care about you and how you feel and I definitely made some good friends while I was at that school.
this school is lovely especially with the toilets being lit on fire every 8 months <3
Very bad administration, very bad staff. Would not recommend it to anyone who plans on taking their children there cause of the bad service they also provide. Another reason is: they don’t care about education much. There is little to no support and don’t care about the ones with various disorders much.
This is why people in the area send their kids to John Paul College .....even if they aren't Christians.
Terrible School. They can't communicate at all. My kids continually disrupted by being moved from class to class. Very racist culture. Look for an alternative!
Trying to better itself. Going from bad to not so bad.
Administration, is appalling, need complete overhaul
