Mission

John Paul College is one of Queensland’s largest independent Early Learning to Year Twelve co-educational schools. Founded in 1982 as the state’s first Christian Ecumenical school, we have a collective enrolment of approximately 2000 students.

John Paul College delivers a contemporary education grounded in traditional values. Our people are at the heart of all we do, and this is reflected in our purpose: to educate, to inspire, to make a difference.

Located 20 minutes south of Brisbane’s CBD, the natural bushland campus features extensive and modern facilities to support a leading-edge technology programme and wide-ranging cultural and sporting opportunities.

Our College motto is "Unity, Christ, Learning". This reflects our philosophy of ecumenical practice and academic excellence, underpinned by our Christian belief and values.

Our College crest portrays, in visual terms, these values and ideals.

Our College colours are burgundy and blue.

I have 2 kids attending JPC. They definitely deserve 6* for early learning center and kindy. But after that, school offers not much. If your child wants sports and arts, all you can do is pay extra for external providers for them. School only has handful of seats for choir and dance which is almost impossible to get into. Such a shame. You might as well go to a normal school and still pay for all the extras you want for your child...One advantage is 25 kids in a classroom. I guess there are more in a state school. They address bullying okay and i like tat they cover wild life nests to protect from kids. Thats all
0 stars was not an option so it’s 1. I was the parent who read these reviews and thought it’s okay to have a handful of negative ones, things happen at every school. Our experience at JPC School left us feeling deeply disappointed. We observed a discrepancy between the school's stated values and their actual actions, which was disheartening. Concerning incidents involving inappropriate behaviour seemed to be handled differently than we expected, and we felt that safety concerns could have been better addressed. As parents, we prioritised our child's well-being and chose to explore other educational options after the first term in 2023. We recommend carefully considering your child's needs and closely monitoring their experience if you decide to enrol them at JPC School.
Came for education workshop so can’t comment on its education or students but beautiful campus and modern facilities. Staff also friendly and helpful.
As a former student, I sincerely hope no parent takes their child to this school. I hope to see this school close down, so no poor child will experience what I have with this school especially with the teachers. If you have an ounce of care for your children don’t send them to this school, and I hope the government will close down John Paul college so no more students will have to deal with this joke of a school. Every past student I have talked to have only said negatives about this joke of a school. Pathetic school. Look for a different place for your child.
I don’t know why parents are sending there children here even though there not christen I feel offended
Sent my three little BEAUTIFUL munchkins to this establishment ages 7, 15, 22 dearest hughey takes a bit longer then others to develop but he is ranked number 1 in Australia for speed crayoning UPDATE AS OF JANUARY 2023: Hughey has unfortunately developed a nasty addiction to adderall and has now sadly dropped to number 3 in the rankings. Please have him in your prayers tonight I cannot begin to describe the PAIN and SORROWING my angels from the divine heavens had endured at this sacred place of learnding. I picked up my youngest, Maximillian love him to bits! After a long and tiring day at the real estate firm for legal reasons I am unable to name of this firm I ask my little rascal "how was your day at school today darling?" His response rattled me to my very core. "BAD!" He lashed out at me! I was taken aback, not understanding HOW this FINE and RESPECTED institution could illicit such vile and damning emotions from a youngin'! I tremble out the words "W-why w-was t--tthat sw-sweety?" The tension was thick, you could feel each particle of dust entering your lungs. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. He sat in silence. "LIBERALS!" he shouts at me, it was if a second Hiroshima had gone off in this very Kia Rio. My arms start to sweat, my hands start slowly gripping the hello kitty padded steering wheel. I am engulfed with fury, a infernal rage not even Satan could bare. "What did they teach you about" I murmur sinisterly under my bated breath. Maximum Power creeps his slightly enlarged head towards me, his vision feels like lazer beams hitting my fragile skin. We lock eyes, it's as if I'm looking into a shell-shocked soldier. I am locked into a stand off, unable to concentrate on the own thoughts racing in my mind, but before I could even attempt to string out a sentence of empathy, he reached into his pocket and throws a crumpled piece of paper at me. Shaking, I nervously unwrapped it. The sweat beams onto the paper, nearly destructing the ever so fragile gospel I have been handed. "Timetable" he silently mutters to me, but I could not be prepared for the horrors my poor, precious eyes were ever so unfortunate to encounter. 8:30 - GAY class 11:30 - QUEER lunch 13:00 - DREAM SMP class 14:30 - DRUID & FAE science 15:30 - BISEXUAL dismissal I collapse to the floor of my newly serviced Kia Rio, shaking, throwing up, letting out animalistic chants at the god who put us on this cursed trajectory. I instantly pulled all my children out of this demon spawn hell and have PROUDLY been homeschooling since. Unfortunately my homeschooling licence was decided to be revoked after I 'ALLEGDLY' was teaching my children how to create carpet bombs to send to the state, but they got nothing on me! Overall I can NOT recommend this school enough, that is, unless, you are a LIBERAL, then this is your heaven!. P.s if anyone is interested in homeschooling my little loving children please contact me via fax
Had my children age 4 this year in their kindy class in their brand new building, had my relative picking up the child whom the school never seen before, was able to pick the child without teachers acknowledgement, shocking! What if its kidnapping? Also the class were too big, the teacher doesnt know my child well even after a term, my child state he just watch the brand new computer screen most of time, also they did not creat an environment that all kids enjoy and can be happy, if you want your child to be just safe and happy , there are other school that could be a better options
2 years ago, I wrote an review on JPC. After staying at this school for quite a while now, here is a new updated version of my review: In my overall experience at John Paul College as a student, the facilities and the teachers at this school are pretty good. The food at the tuckshop are delicious and the JPC community did an excellent job on opening a co-curriculum program for all students to attend whether it is before or after school. But however, when it comes to the students at JPC, there is a bit of a problem. One of the biggest issues about the students is that a lot of students swear whenever they talk, especially those at the secondary and senior secondary stage of education at the school. This is something that all students that don't curse have to get use to. Also, when interacting with students, it's important to be as open as possible. If you are an introvert, always think of something to respond whenever they talk to you. If you stutter or don't say anything, they might make fun of you. JPC is also really big on sport events. Most of these events are tiring, especially if you have bad endurance. The chances of winning is very low and if you decide to not participate, which is okay, you have to wait all day long for the competitors to finish, either cheering or doing nothing. That's why it is best to participate, even if you are not good at sports. One of the biggest downside of JPC in my opinion is that most of the work is done on laptop. The teacher has the ability to monitor the students when using the laptops in class. There are also not a lot of group work, apart from the science subjects, and most projects and assignments must be done, 'individually.' Thanks to all the people that read my feedback, especially the students from year 10's digital solution class.
Incredible opportunities available for your child to develop to their fullest potential - Academic, Cultural, Sporting or Socially through Charity work. Caring staff and magnificent facilities - JPC is a wonderful community.
An Amazing centre, with amazing staff and communication with parents. Loving the daily reports. Our son is extremely happy and loves the excitment of getting ready and going into childcare. A huge thank you John Paul ELC
